but iâd have to choose Umbreon if i had to make a decision.
Karenâs Umbreon to be specific.
iâm a GBC Gold Silver Crystal lover and all the summers sat outside with a big group of friends link cable-ing it up is nostalgia and sense of community thatâll never come back hence why i joined Efour which is an amazing place with amazing people sharing amazing stories and a ton of fun to read
i always thought Johto and Kanto had the coolest Characters like Clair, Karen, Lance, Blaine.
Had to google the pic because Iâm not home at the moment. I still remember being 11 yrs old and getting this card out of the 1st edition pack. Love the artwork, especially how the yellow, blue and red background reminds me of the three legendary birds. I always thought this was pretty cool because as a kid, it made me think as if Lugia had the power to attack as if he was all three of them/ or with them. Before I even knew what a trophy card was, this was my trophy card. This was the card I always pulled out the album hidden under my bed and said to my friends: âYouâve never seen this card beforeâ! Lol!
Why?
Itâs a classic. It was the most sought card in elementary school and it was the card that got me into Pokemon. This was my first Rare card in my first booster pack as well. Also my favorite pokemon. Is this detailed enough @charchu ?
Reason: As you can tell by my age, Iâm one of the younger guys here. When I first started collecting as a kid the new sets were Legends Awakened and Stormfront. I was sort of the card guru at school because I was the only one who would look on the internet. I was the one would tell which cards were fake and which werenât (whether they believed me or not, I told my friend John that the Lv.Xs had to be foil but he insisted his was real even though it wasnât foil). I was not, however, smart enough to actually buy single cards online. Iâm still kicking myself about it. Instead of getting packs all the time I could have gotten whatever cards I wanted back then. In 2008-9 I could have gotten Gold Stars and anything else for the same price as the blister packs I would buy at Walmart. As a result, these were the two cards I was relentlessly chasing down. Garchomp was and is my favorite Pokemon and I would constantly search for these cards equally. I finally convinced my friend Luke to trade me his Garchomp C, but I never got a hold of the one from Majestic Dawn until recently. I have them now, but these were the two main ones that drove me forward when I was young(er).
I was torn between any of my interesting Pokemon Sheets and my BGS 10 1st Ed. Base English Charizard. I decided on this sheet because it just wouldnât die. TPC cut up a giant stack of these with a knife thinking they destroyed them all. WRONG. A couple escaped the slash-a-thon. This is one and its in amazingly perfect condition. Tough to find that in any sheet. The back is all snow white cause it never got printed with the normal Pokemon backs.
Anybody think I should cut it up to create âmiscutsâ? NOT;)
Skyridge is easily my favorite set and this Snorlax just tops it off. There are so many beautiful cards in this set that it hurts me that I hardly have any ): Honorable mention:
^This card is just hilarious lol.
Thanks a lot for doing this giveaway
I just donât understand itâŠhow do so many things slip through the cracks? Have there really been so many employees at WotC/PTC that just steal stuff? Iâm glad that these things have made it to the public (sort of ) but just how??
You have to sleep in their dumpsters and wait for their morning dump lol.
TPC is MUCH more careful with their property than Wizards was. After they found out about this sheet their attorneys kept bugging me cause they wanted it returned. I played with them until they finally gave up hihi. I made sure they wasted a lot of time though lol.
Damn that sheet is trippy indeed, only 2 artworks tooâŠ
Very cool Gary any chance you got some close up pics?
That story reminds me of those clickbait âDumpster Diving at gamestopâ YouTube videos haha.
This card has one of my favorite Pokemon and if I have to choose a favorite this is it due to the sheer beauty. The card also eluded me for many years.
Age: 29 going on 12 when seeing all these amazing pokemon cards
Choosing a favourite card is a really tough call honorable mention goes to a 1st edition prerelease aerodactyl my brother gave me as a kid, but I have opted for my Green Back Topsun Charizard:
Why? Well itâs my favourite pokemon from the first set of pokemon cards made, it feels like a piece of history. Over 20 years old now! I love the raw artwork and the little pokemon characters silhouettes around the charizard. Plus I graded it myself and got a Psa 10! That level of excitement is why I love collecting pokemon cards.
Favorite Card: Anything Ampharos but the top card is this guy
Ampharos gained a special place in my heart the first time I played silver as a kid. I remember catching a mareep cause it was cool looking and leveling it up until *KABLAAAAM!* it evolved into the majestic and beautiful ampharos! I instantly fell in love with this pokemons looks and itâs incredibly powerful thunderpunch! So when I opened up a pack one day and this guy was in there I freaked out!! The colors are so brilliant. The pink and silver go perfect with the yellow with black text of the card. I will have to go through my old bins of drawings from when I was 12 cause I have a really cool drawing I did based on this card as it was one of my prized possessions back in the day (still is ) So that is why I chose this card as my favorite card but it was a close race with the glorious fossil mew card! & thanks for the opportunity to enter into a cool giveaway like this and also to share about myself
