Thank you everyone for the kind and optimistic words! If I do manage to get one (edit – WHEN I manage to get one, even if it takes years, I will not give up) I will certainly consider selling the non - Chansey cards to other species collectors to recuperate some of the costs.

Same haha. I opened the thread, saw that first picture, and thought: ah, here we go again. And only then saw the second picture and pokeguardian link and had to do a double-take. 
But there couldn’t have been a better test print for the 1995 card of this set tbh.
Does anyone (@qwachansey perhaps?) have a picture of the original card design from 1995 this 25th anniversary card is based on? Was it revealed in a CoroCoro magazine in the distant past?

I even love how the barcode on the box reads 1995 2021 2525. The eye for detail on this is extraordinary. I hope you can achieve your dream by Pokémon’s 30th anniversary @qwachansey !

Nope AFAIK this is never before seen Ooyama art! The Coro prototypes I know of from 1996 were more “fleshed out”.

This looks so cool. Probably going to be doubtful I can find the deck box though. Ill have to keep an eye out in case anyone breaks up a set.

At first I was bummed the cards won’t be accessible to the general public but…
As I’ve thought about it, the release definitely adds to its significance. Only for official Pokemon illustrators. Pretty amazing! This is a great idea and I do hope a few come around for our fellow forum collectors. This definitely makes the 25th anniversary sweeter.
Qwachansey- if you were able to find a snap chansey then you can do this. Or at least I hope so!

The Chansey card is the most unique out of the lot. I think most people will keep the Chansey card and sell the rest.
