As the title states, Pokemon is releasing the Celebration Fanfare in non Asian languages!
I would assume this is more than just English.
The Ace Trainer Rewards program celebrates Trainers who participate in tournaments in CP-earning regions and operates on a CP threshold, meaning there is no limit to the number of players who can earn rewards. For the 2025 season, these rewards include a Play! Pokémon-stamped Celebratory Fanfare, a Pokémon TCG promo card previously exclusive to Asia, and an exclusive deck box and card sleeves in Pokémon TCG Live.
I actually love this artwork and am pretty happy it comes in English!
I don’t see why this is a true problem, as this is gonna be for tournaments, not for us. Pokemon dosen’t do unique artwork for tournaments like that, so I kinda fail to see your disappointment, although understandable.
TCPI has failed to create any meaninful unique artwork for the English userbase for as long as I can remember. All they’ve done was add stamps to shit.
Fanfare/opening ceremony was another unique Japanese promo series that had a fun, limited print distribution. Why can’t there simply be unique english artwork for a tournament or otherwise? I know that English collectors will take whatever they can get, but come on. Just create your own thing for once.
Forgot about the felt hat. Thanks for pointing that out. I just wish we’d get more of this and not more limited promo Japanese cards now getting converted. Loved when China was blessed with this as well:
Imagine how much chinese people are complaining about are exclusives, I think we can all agree though that Japan needs to start spreading the promos let some other countries have some random promos.
They are the mothership I just wish that they would spread some of the promos around that we don’t get, maybe it would even drive prices down a little, idk I just wish there wasn’t so much exclusivity, (also china deserves some exclusivity with how little pokemon they did for a while)
I was thinking about it and I think that your right, for some reason I thought that they had more promos in the last few years, now I’m realizing that I am getting old and it’s no longer 2018, guess they have slowed down on Japanese exclusives
