Buyout from TCA video: Did WOWlootsellers cancel for $$$

The video and discussion from that video happened here:

www.elitefourum.com/t/tca-makes-a-yt-video-and-suddenly-cards-dissapear/28269/1

I saved this search and noticed that they popped up. The pictures appear the exact same and even the amount they had sold out of previously, 20, was the max limit they had again. Sellers cancelling preorders and single card buyouts only to relist higher later is not uncommon. My question is what is the likelihood that WOWlootseller decided to cancel the orders and relist higher (from $49.95 to $199.95)?
I find the whole thing highly suspect and wanted to see what other members here thought about it.

Problem is, WOWlootseller holds one of the monopolies on sealed collectibles where they are willing to sell, so they can do whatever they want and still get customers.

I’m not even sure if 20 actually sold originally. When I click the “20 sold” it only shows 2 sales in the items history.

5% negative reviews :flushed:

Bought some theme decks from them a while back, they cancelled to relist for triple + what I paid. Sent a message asking why my order was cancelled, received a “lol” and a block. I guess they decided my order of 18 to buy them all meant it was undervalued.

Wow. 131 negatives in the last 12 months, that’s atrocious.

Let’s all grab our pitchforks. Purchase all their listings, then don’t pay and ignore any inquiries!

I’ve heard a lot of bad things about them, but I purchased a lot of tins from them several months ago (the $200 Rayquaza tins with FRLG/HL packs inside) and they are definitely authentic. Not saying that the seller isn’t shady, but they are definitely a legitimate seller on some level. From what I’ve heard about them secondhand, though, it wouldn’t surprise me if they cancelled someone’s order and waited to relist until now.

EDIT: holy shit, just realized they now have that same tin up for $400 lol. Wonder if they cancelled someone’s order and relisted that, too. Or maybe they just had backstock…idk

On the feedback I see lots of buyers getting damaged items and weighed items. The other half of the feedback seem to mention orders getting canceled and relisted.

Yep you guys all nailed it. I haven’t had good experiences with wowloot. Extremely rude and unprofessional. You’ll find those people everywhere I guess lol

An individual sending poop because they felt they got scammed by a buyer is very immature and petty, but a store with damn near 16k feedback? That’s absolutely crazy

This shows me people either don’t look at feedback or don’t care as long as someone has what you want. People will ignore the ethics of someone if they have a item they need.

@hisoka107, You hit it on the head! The market is so large, buyers are so diverse. Most won’t read this thread. Even some that do simply won’t care.

I can partly understand his behaviour (maybe not the crapping inside packages), in my experience in dealing with old video games, lego or pokemon cards, the most obnoxious buyers are definetly the cards buyers. I can have 500 listings for video games and 100 for pokemon cards yet the vast majority of the inquiries I get are about the cards, people asking for a discount, asking for 2018 prices, asking for trades etc.
Now you can amplify these problems with all the rare stock this seller has compared to me.

Probably depended a lot on what level of the market you were appealing to. This seller obviously has a trend in bad behavior and his name is blasted everywhere because of it. The fact his items are rare probably means less obnoxious buyers. DAC world and Troll and Toad do not have this kind of reputation and probably deal with more obnoxious buyers than anyone and they appease all levels of the market.

If you buy from them you’re supporting them.

Bought a bunch of blisters from them months ago, they came to me super beat up. When I asked them about it they said because they were decently old that is how it is. Said they should mention on their listing the blisters aren’t in mint condition and they never listened. Not surprised one bit they do this kind of stuff too.
