Buying Japanese Boxes From Canada

Hi everyone,

I was thinking about starting a Japanese collection but I just have one not so small problem: I have absolutely no idea where to buy Japanese boxes :sob: .

I searched the forums (I’m also new to the site so might have missed a thread) and haven’t found anything. I also used good old google but only found sellers on Ebay and Amazon (which is not inherently bad).
So I was wondering if any fellow Canadians (or anyone else for that mater  ) know of a trustworthy website or seller of Japanese TCG products at a decent price!

Are you talking about modern or vintage?

Ebay is a good start, the prices are usually not that bad, especially from Japanese sellers who give free shipping. Otherwise you can buy it off yahoo auctions/buyee but those have lots of service fees and require more expensive postage.

If you want modern product go with amiami for stuff as it releases. For Japanese older and already released modern probably best with eBay and Yahoo Japan. And for much older Japanese eBay and yj again.

@nuttun, Im looking for modern stuff, like the SM sets. And thanks a lot for the info!

Can also use middle services like Zen and buyee to buy from poke enter in Japan for boosters boxes still in stock.

@vehicularmenace,Thanks alot! Ill check out the sites!

Anytime! I’m just not sure how fees for shipping and customs work for bringing them into Canada so definitely research. Lots of Canadians here that might be able to help.

@nuttun, @vehicularmenace, Another quick question: I know it depends on the set and the cards in the set,but how much would a normal modern 30 pack Japanese box cost? I just would want to get a general idea of what price I should be looking for.

I’m using pokecenter japan price for reference, but usual sets are 4860 yen and special sets like ultra shiny gx and high class were 5400 yen.
