I see what you’re saying. But I don’t care about black labels. And will never buy one - nor grade with BGS. I don’t think it’s an encompassing thing for collectors - it’s just a niche thing some people chase.

This many black labels vs 9s is alarmbells to me

Looks like $1,525.00 for the Pikachu Black Label. Lower than I would have thought, but about 10x the current PSA 10 sales, which are about $100. BGS and CGC 9.5’s are selling for about $60.

I wonder how many black labels you would get if you cracked 10 PSA 10s (which should all be pretty strong considering they’re new cards) and sent them to BGS.
