New Data on Current volumes and prices of Black Labels from the past 2 years on eBay.
I am majority looking at the volume of sales happening. Volume has shifted from an average of 206 (May 2021) BLâs in a month to 485 BLâs (January 2023), a 235% increase in volume.
Now because of this, you can see an average decrease in price per black label. This also could be the case due to people grading $2 Japanese ultra modern Art Rares that sell for $300+ (Diance or Drowzy from Vstar).
All three initialisms are used in non-collectibles contexts, too, so I think a much more useful comparison is between âCGC grading,â âPSA grading,â and âBGS grading:â
Not nearly as dramatic of a spread. âPSAâ is a very common initialism (âpublic service announcementâ), which I imagine really inflates the traffic for that term.
I dont have a clue if it was the case with this example, but I have seen some people complaining about mildly off center black labels. It was just meant as a jab to black labels, with the great inconsistency in grading at these levels.
