Why not have an opposite thread. This thread is for pokemon that just never quite made the cut for anyone, but have some decent looking artwork.
First up is one of the absolute worst dragon types to exist. But at least the artwork is decent.

And of course the atrocious gold star

I honestly donā€™t like rayquaza much myself. The art is good on some of the cards and awful on others but his actual design is real dumb to me personally

Porygon is also a reference to 3D polygonal modeling, not wooden blocks :stuck_out_tongue:

I would argue that ā€œbadā€ or low polygon 3D artwork is pretty much the best use of that style for any pokemon card, as it is a Pokemon that literally represents it and was conceived based on it

Itā€™s also quite interesting to me personally that as porygon evolves it took on increasingly smooth (modern) renders of the same exact polygons

But thatā€™s just me, Iā€™m a buff for that kind of thing

The original post was just a stab at half of the forum. Rayquaza is one of my favorite pokemon lol. But porygon was a low blow.
