He is a beast in pokemon go tho!
Porygon has always been an outlier that was both perfectly cool, for the game, and also perfectly unlike any other pokemon at the time. Itâs been overshadowed with more recent âunnaturalâ mon, but I think porygon is great for itâs simple, but non-organic design. as it should be. Note, thatâs a mock-up Komiya Porygon card I made. it doesnât actually exist.
Hawlucha is a great mon draws from a great inspirartion, lucha libre, and it is one of the few human-shape pokemon that doesnât make the outfit awkwardly unnatural (like Sawk and Thro wearing ghis, or jynx wearing clothes⊠what?) opting to use the feathers and beak to make the mask and cape make sense. A++
I have to throw Beedrill into the discussion, always thought it looked so badass! I remember playing it on pokemon red hoping it would eventually get better⊠But it didnât! Butterfree is by far the better choice.
Beedrill reminded me of Vespiquen. It raises an army in itâs skirt to do itâs bidding and attack enemies in battle. Also such an awesome concept.
Cheers!
What I used to do was catch a nidoran and lvl up until they learn double kick at lvl 12. Like that I was catching the base of my favorite Pokémon line (nidoking) and beating easily Brock when picking up charmander
Regirock is especially atrocious. Itâs dex entry literally talks about how it repairs itself, but no Recover, no Regenerator hidden ability. No Rapid Spin either despite having the sickest pirouette in all of Pokemon.
what a sick custom card buddy
Haxorus is actually phenomenal with a ridiculous Base 147 Attack stat. Itâs really good in a lot of competitive formats (talking about the game; not the TCG).
Absol is easily one of my top five favorite Pokemon, but itâs actually pretty good (especially Mega Absol). Gamefreak did it dirty early on by loading up its best stat (Attack) in an area it couldnât really make use of it, but once the Physical/Special split occurred, it became a force.
To this day, I will heap praise on the sweeping Onix I made in Ultra Sun! Won quite a few online battles because he took people by surprise.
Jolly nature
Max Attack/Speed EVâs
Sturdy ability
Weakness Policy attached
Stone Edge
Earthquake
Iron Tail
Rock Polish
Bait a super effective attack & Rock Polish first turn; wait for Weakness Policy to be activated and survive via Sturdy. Then sweep. Didnât always work, but when it did, it was hilarious!
Anyway, my choice:
Marowak has always had one of the coolest designs & lores of Gen 1, but never had the stats to match.
Yes! I actually really liked running a kinda gimmicky critical hit machine Absol. Super Luck ability and Scope Lens running with Night Slash was super fun.
Fair enough! Turns out it was good in 2011. I had always thought of it as a less favorable Garchomp.
I agree with lots of mentions here like Mightyena and Absol for example.
Also for me: banana boi!
One of my favorite pokemon from XY. Unfortunately its speed has really held it back.
Absol served me REALLY well on my emerald nuzlocke. Level 50 and I stomped all the elite four by using 6 double team and 3 swords dance plus slash and aerial ace. Aerial ace for Phoebe. But yeah it could be a lot better, such a sick pokemon
