I don’t buy cards too often, and recently the Team Plasma cards from Plasma Storm, Freeze and Blast piqued my interest, and it turned out that the tins were the only product that had these packs at a decent price. I almost just bought the holo/reverse holo Plasma singles from trollandtoad, but decided that it’s been a while since I opened some packs, and I would like to get these tins before they’re hard to find/go up in price, as well as have the chance of getting some good cards.
I dabbled out of collecting during this time period of sets, but just today got my Plasma Storm Charizard Secret rare in a pristine condition, the cards ween’t bad! Kinda wish I didn’t haha.
What’s unfortunate for me is that I started collecting again 2 months after Plasma Storm came out, but I didn’t do any research on the sets. I was just excited to buy my first booster box and open packs again, and I ended up getting the Black & White base set just because it was $5 cheaper than everything else… I still feel bad to this day knowing that I could’ve completed that awesome set if I had of just looked for sets with my favourite pokemon (the original starters)
On the bright side, my second box (about a month later, and still hadn’t done research on the sets at this point) was call of legends, which happened to be an awesome set, though I still have many expensive cards to get.
