Plasma Storm Elite Trainer Box

Does anyone know the last sale price for a Plasma Storm Elite Trainer Box?

Seems like one on amazon for 800 sold last month. I considered getting it for a long time but saw it wasn’t available anymore.

Wow, I was planning to get one myself for my ETB collection. That is a crazy amount.

I found two at two different stores in the last month and both stores cancelled on me (I honestly did not expect that from commercial sellers that made mistakes not checking their prices) at 300€ and 400€ respectively, so 800$ seems like a fair guess.

Wow what are plasma storm boosters going for? Id imagine the etb has a higher premium.

Raw boosters are weighable (correct me if I’m wrong thinking that weighing started mid XY), so ETBs have an actual chance for a Zard. That deserves a premium imo.

Personally I wanted it sealed because it has lugia on it. It’s the sickest ETB they ever made, so 800 was completely reasonable in my opinion.

Can anyone verify sales of $1,000+? I heard someone speaking of those, but never saw any vendor even listed that high, nor any ebay sales or facebook/e4 offers that high. Maybe IG?

I don’t think they are $1000 yet but will be soon. Plasma storm ETB are insanely short printed. Ive seen maybe 8 for sale in 3 years. I sold mine for $450 in mid 2019 when I stopped collecting ETBs.

I don’t remember which online TCG store, But I’m fairly certain that one of them in the past 3 months had the plasma storm ETB up for $1500 and it became unavailable. So it presumably sold?

I made a YOLO move yesterday and cracked open 6 tins from 2011-2014 yesterday… and I “attempted” to weigh the BW stuff for pokescience of course, and I’m just confused, the heavier packs mean your guaranteed (1) x rare will be a holo/reverse holo? Or weighing should help you identify the UR, SR, etc. ?

**PS: the old tale definitely sings true in… keep it fu%^& sealed, resist at all costs opening it up, and BUY whatever it is you’re chasing or hoping to pull. 25 booster packs from that era → NV, PB, PS, BC, DE, some FlashFire and Furious Fists to end up with 3 UR lol… I never opened BW stuff (I wasn’t buying during that print run), but I’ve picked random stuff up over time or dead stock I found in the back of shelves and stuff… but man… unfamiliar really with the BW sets, but the artwork (of the packs and boxes) always appealed to me, I looked over the sets and the chase cards and like apart from that gold star Rayquaza from Dragons Exalted and the 1584839 Charizards from FlashFire (not even BW), the trainers from BC?, I really can’t explain the hype… if anyone feels like taking me down a history lesson of the BW series lol**

That’s just the unfortunate end of the variance. For “science” - I opened 1 tin last week, the Thundurus EX 2013 Fall Legendary Tin. It had 2 Legendary Treasures, 1 Noble Victories, 1 Plasma Blast pack. From one of the LT packs I pulled the Mew EX and from the PB pack I pulled a full art Palkia EX. Naturally they are both PSA 8-9 quality.
