This is my counter to the thread about people NOT being excited for Sword & Shield. Is anyone excited for it?
I rarely play video games and haven’t been into the pokemon series games since Red/Blue and Silver/Gold. I’m excited to try this new one.

Since the No Man’s Sky incident I try to have no expectations for games. I don’t have enough time to fill the Pokedex anway, so the dexit didn’t really affect me too much. No random encounters were the best feature of Let’s Go in my opinion and they didn’t return here, so yes, I’ll definetely get the new game, sword doggo version. I love Zachians resemblence of Sif from Dark Souls, gives people an opportunity to be on his side. Very cool if you know his backstory. I digress

im excited for it. sadly i sold my switch a few months ago but plan to get a lite soon. am currently playing jedi fallen order which is pretty great and will kerp me going for a ehile id say. still a bit salty of no psyduck though…

Two badges in and I love it so far. I agree with some of the reviews saying that it’s the best one in years. Puts sun and moon to absolute shame.

This is the first game since hg/ss that I’ve actually gotten hooked on. I will admit that I’m glossing over a lot of the story line as I play and I press B every time my Grooky tries to evolve. However the wild area is what I’ve been dreaming for in a Pokemon game since I was a kid.

Been playing all day and I love it. It’s what I always hoped Pokemon would be. Don’t really know why some people complain without even playing the game or seeing the story. You get right into the action and its nonstop from there.

It’s amazing. All the talk online how Game Freak doesn’t care about Pokemon anymore and so on are complete trash talk. I’m really loving the game so far, it looks nice and it’s straight forward but you can also do exploring if you wish. I’m on my way to second gym atm and I’m overlevel because I’ve been checking everything on my way.
They really did a great job with this and I’m crazy for all the customization options as well. Also Dynamax is so funny, I thought I wouldn’t care about the mechanic but even that I like. It’s cool you can only use it in certain situations and not in any battle (like Megas). There are just some Pokemon you can only laugh about when you see them as reeeally huge
And making curry, that animation when you and your Pokemon take a first sip of the curry you’ve made gets me every time. I’m only in the beginning and there’s so much to like and enjoy already!

I wasn’t excited at first but I had to get it today and wow, I’m only four hours in and still not at the first gym but I’m really enjoying it. I haven’t had this much fun with a Pokemon game since black/white.

Wow I’m so happy to hear how much you all like it. I’ve been without a Switch for a year. I was waiting for Animal Crossing to get another one, but might have to pick one up now for S&S!

Galar Meowth alone makes this game worth playing.
I went on a Pokémon bender this weekend… I played sword and shield pretty much all weekend and took breaks by opening packs lol. I love sword and shield. I still haven’t went for a shiny yet but I definitely plan on it
I am excited but I have not opened it. Its either that or not get an A+ in my grad class
