Anyone collect Legos?

Picked mine up at release day. It is an amazing set, but caused me to get severe Lego fatigue where I have lost most interest in newer sets. I doubt Lego will ever top the USC falcon.

I am 100% sure they will continue to have it stocked as long as it is selling. For instance, the USC death star was on shelves for 8 years before they made an almost identical updated version with new mini figures back in 2016. Another example is the Volkswagen auto camper which came out in 2011, it can still be bought at the official online store.

Do you still have the box?

Are you able to measure the depth of the box for me? Or anyone else who has the falcon box.
I want one for my cabinet but my cabinet is only 42cm deep and I think the falcon is so close to that.

I’ve seen different depths online so not sure the true depth of the box./

I collect minifigures and polybags (not sets, I don’t have space and money for them and I dislike having carboard boxes to keep), mainly Marvel Super heroes, Star Wars and some vintage/random promotional stuff. Unfortuntely Lego is pretty expensive (now less than some years ago, but still) and I also have some other hobbies like pokemon tcg where I’m more focused. A resolution for the new year might be ending some of my lego goals

Closer to 39cm rather than 40cm.

Mine is still in the Lego brown box sealed.

Perfect, thanks!

Picking up mine tomorrow from David Jones.

They didn’t have any at my local store but the city store has some, so I am going tomorrow.

Recently I bought some Legos, I really like how they made the Harry Potter sets. There are also some small 90’s set you guys might recognize lol

I’ve actually recently got into LEGO technic stuff. I think I’m getting some for Xmas :joy: but yeh seen videos and the amount of engineering that goes into making the vehicles work and move is insane

so you keep all yoru stuff sealed? man, i can’t help but open these boxes and build them.

do you think they’ll retire the UCS millennium falcon anytime soon? it’s so iconic, and i want to get it but can’t make the leap yet…

dang cool display case. mines just collecting dust cause I’ve been too lazy to build it (present from wifey). the GT3RS is built though!

i would love to build it (UCS millennium falcon) because the box is waaaay too large to keep stored. but once built, i have the same dilemma. where do i store the falcon?! it needs to have proper space. it’s such a nice build. i don’t have a coffee table for it to just sit on.

100% This is entirely what stopped me from collecting legos. I love them but they take up so much space. I bought a couple of that exact set during release and the boxes just collect dust because I don’t know where I would display them.

Yeah, I’ve been eyeing some 2 tier glass coffee tables. all my junk are in random places in the house. The wife has been mentioning i should get some more permanent display cases but I’m a super picky person so can’t make up my mind. Apollo’s on a windowsill lol

@yz2428, yeah I keep all these Lego sealed, mostly because I enjoy the box art more than the set itself lol
You could also buy these old set used for the fraction of the cost of a sealed set

I’ve got all the Lego Nintendo/Mario unopened in the original boxes. It will be a huge pain to display this stuff. I will need to purchase a massive display case.

I am obsessed with Harry Potter
So I also have most of the Lego sets too, problem is is I always open them. Even when I get a set from 2001 I can’t help myself

I had to jump on the Lego NES they released this summer, it was way too cool with all the moving parts on the TV and putting the game in the NES. I want to build it, but I don’t know where I’d store it, and from experience as a kid, they’re dust magnets. So I have it sitting on display in the box on a shelf.

you just need to get a makeup brush from your gf/wife/mom/sister.

This is all your fault
