Anyone collect Legos?

:star_struck: This is really nice, but at the same time, I have decided to limit my collection to mechs and vehicles… ANyone else nearly addicted to these architect and ideas builds?

Just built this, might be my new favourite set!

Man this set looked like the perfect opportunity to introduce Smurf minifigs!

I just got the botanical garden in. No time to build it yet, but I do like the box a lot.
There are some more sets on my list. I want the remaining Animal Crossing ones for sure.

Is it just me or are the prices on these big sets getting more reasonable, at least in some cases?

The cost of lego sets has actually dropped adjusting for inflation over the years, calculating for number of pieces per set, so, Yes. THey are getting more reasonable.

Got some more LEGO plants, given for my birthday last week:

These are from The Four Gentlemen set, for which the remaining two will release in January. I’ll likely buy those myself to complete the set.

Here a picture of what the other two will look like:

Pretty! And far less upkeep.

Yeah, they’re perfect for me, since I don’t have green fingers. I just have to dust them off, but they won’t need any water.

And thanks!

Something about the Chrysanthemum being made of like 50 bananas is just so funny to me.

But the other 2 yet to be released look amazing too. I like the Bamboo much more than I thought I would.

Yeah, I like how they re-use existing LEGO blocks in usually new colors for something completely different than originally intended for these plant builds. It’s sometimes very creative.

Some of the earlier little succulent plants I shared also contained guns; hair brushes; hats; and butterflies, among other things.

I wonder… My mom has had me caring for her orchids while she’s away… Already broke one… dammit. :unamused: It was damaged already and she said she’d not be mad, but…
IS it cheaper to buy these than to care for actual plants?

  • Dust/biomatter = 0
  • water = 0
  • time = half? no watering, and just 10 seconds to blow-off once a week
  • 0 air scrubbing
  • 2x expensive

Aside from the air cleaning, it probably balances out. And IDK how much a flower is going to clean the air.

My favorite theme was Lego adventurers, when I saw this for 25$ I had to do it

Most of vintage legos feel cheap compared to pokemon!

90s Johnny Thunder is the only Johnny Thunder.

Well 2$ per piece is a tad above what I’d usually want to pay… But for the first set in my favorite theme I did it.

I fear I may spiral into all the Egypt, jungle, orient expedition and dino island sets

These had an interesting theme. I had mostly forgotten about them, but there were some really cool sets in there.

Before Indiana Jones (license with lego). Was a pure Lego story! With pure Lego characters!
