Oh man, I do really like the design, am a huge sucker for the painted look on cards (shout out court kings to anyone who collects basketball cards). I’m curious how the yellow border will affect the look of the cards, the silver one is super nice. Never ending struggle of collecting cards that I can read vs. cards I think look better

Amiami is closed, I preordered mine in like…February when I heard the name “Legendary heartbeat” I’m sure you’ll be able to get them on eBay for similar prices soon.

Does that Rayquaza look familiar to anyone else? I feel like I have seen one that looks the same if not very familiar to that.

I do love the paint splatter effect in the background, hope to see it on some more pokémon cards!

Jirachi’s ability is so good. You don’t even need escape board. There was also news a few months back about amazing rares that would not give up prizes.

Based on the box art for the set, it’s looking like Lugia and Celebi could be getting amazing rares too. I’d love a ho-oh and lugia in this style.

Seeing Celebi and Lugia on the box makes me really happy. And the new rarity looks really great! I can’t even remember the last time a new card rarity suprised me that pleasantly.

Definitely not a fan of modern cards. However, the painted look of these arts look pretty dang cool.

I agree, as this new look is pretty unique and makes the cards look more like an actual work of art rather than just a bunch of texture!

Based on set numbers they don’t look like UR. More like prism rarity. I was really hoping Pokemon would introduce some crazy chase rarities.

I like the out of frame rainbow colours. I just wonder how they going to foil it. If they just smack the generic “foil” gloss on it, it’s a total waste.

Haha you know this is going to be the case.

That’s why I think the Japanese version of the cards from Shining Legends and GX Ultra Shiny are superior aesthetically.
