Advice on BGS 9 mysterious mountain charizard condition

Hello Everyone,

after years of lurking I have finally decided to register and ask for advice right away (disgusting, I know :blush:).

I am about to pull the trigger on my all time grail card (I already have one but would like to upgrade the condition from my copy) - the Crystal charizard from mysterious mountain.

I have been offered a BGS 9 ++ (9,5 on centering and corners and 9, 9 on surface and edges) for 4000 USD - I am attaching pictures of the card before it got graded outlining the flaws I see in the pics.
My questions is whether you guys think it would be possible to crossover this to a PSA 9? I’m not planning on it but I have been a little scared (to say the least) by many people saying BGS 9 do not always correspond to what a PSA 9 is in terms of condition.

I would therefore like to have a better idea on whether spending 4k on a card in this condition is a “fair” price or not in your opinion.

By the way I know it is a matter of preference and subjective opinion etc. but I’m just trying to have a good idea from people much more knowledgeable than I am.

A BGS 9++ from a subs perspective is a 9 grade on all four subs, so a ”true” BGS 9.

If those are the only issues, then it can cross to a psa 9.

If theres something apart from those probably not.

Also, this is the swaggshop you are referring to is it?
