I hate getting questions like “what’s your lowest price” cause 99% of the time they’re lowballers who aren’t going to pay near market. It’s an immediate member block for me cause they aren’t my kind of buyer anyway.

I don’t currently, but I’ve worked in retail before. Sadly this is not just limited to eBay. Some of the things I’ve heard:

“Can you let me buy that without paying sales tax”

“I’ll give you a used PS4 and some used AirPods for the computer you’re selling.” This was significantly under that asking value of the computer, and they proceeded to get mad when I said I’d need cash.

“$800 is my lowest dollar.” “I’ll give you $500 CASH right now” “I’m sorry sir but $800 is my lowest dollar” “I’ll leave!!!” “If that’s how you feel sir, then I can’t stop you, but $800 issue best I can do.” - at a corporately held jewelry store.

I understand negotiating and haggling, but some people really take it too far.

The lowest I’ll take, is the most I can make the buyer pay.

LOL hahahahahaha hey mom!

Dam @TCAGaming, straightup asked if your trying to scam people. Not for nothing but I think a seller who has thousands of positive feedback would not try to scam people. Not sure why you would be interested in making a sale if your being pretty rude to the seller from the get-go you ain’t gonna get far like that. As I mentioned earlier on this thread w.e the seller puts their item as its up to them and not the buyer but if you wanna work out something there’s a more mature way to approach it not automatically assume if their trying to scam people. I would definitely have more trust/confidence with a buyer with thousands of positive feedback and questionable with one with 0 feedback. Again that’s my take on it.

The worst is when people do it on incredibly cheap cards. I once had someone ask me if I could sell them a $1.99 card for $1.00.

I’m sure your dying to get the card ready to ship for that whopping 10 cents you’ll be left with after fees and postage…

On Facebook a while back, some guy told me that the card was for his personal collection, and would have a good home to stay.
So he said, “cmon Bubba, can you lower the price for me?”
And I have never heard that term before, and thought who is this guy calling me a “bub”. Also, seriously, he should get a discount because he will “take good care of it”? I bumped up the price $10 for this nonsense, and he actually paid it lol

Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you, the new perfect reply to people complaining about prices!!

Inspired by a little something that I saw on FB today:

People complaining about the cost of a graded card?

You say: I’ll crack it open, rough it up and grade it so it scores lower and is more affordable for you!

People complaining that a raw card is to expensive?

You say: Let me rip it in half and I’ll discount it by 50% for you!

People complaining that sealed product is way over valued?

You say: Let me open it up and take out all the good cards first, that way it’ll be cheaper for you!

The potential goes on and on…

I don’t know which is more toxic, Instagram story call outs or the corona virus.
