I never knew I had such love for Starmie until I realised I use it in every game! Always with the same stats and move set. The reason for this is it’s super easy to obtain a Staryu, also a water stone to evolve is simple early on. Move set is Ice beam, Thunderbolt, Psychic & Surf is a perfect all round coverage for any battle and can happily have it in my team at all times. With a very high base stat of Sp. Atk & Speed it’s everything I need in a team mate. So had to get the perfect one, not to mention it’s shiny is awesome. Now this one is my go to. Nice to use a different Pokemon rather than just destroying with a Pseudo-legendary.
Beast mode Starmie. I enjoyed Shiny hunting in game I want the Aquapolis Starmie so bad now haha. Best Starmie card I’ve seen so far unless I’m forgetting one. Actually does Starmie even have many holo or better cards? I collect every era but I havnt noticed any. Sorry to somewhat derail thread. Im just appreciating starmie in game and the Aquapolis holo
Not as a Holo or better. The Aquapolis one surprised me but it’s because i skipped Aquapolis. I did a eBay search and unless I’m missing some for holo or better there is the Aquapolis beautiful holo. A Japanese holo from wotc era I believe neo rev but not in America. A Starmie break (hate the look of break cards) and a hidden fates Starmie Gx. Which gx’s would have been worth collecting if there wasnt a Gx version a full art version a rainbow rare version and a alternate art for half of gx cards in most sets. It’s wild and out of hand haha. So the card in thread is easily my favorite but also lack of options for starmie set cards
For me it’s Flygon. While I know there are many people who like Flygon as much as I do, for some reason Flygon is forgotten by the Pokemon Company when it comes to merch and stuff. Flygon is rarely featured in original Pokemon Center stuff, and I think he has never had a Pokemon Center plush which makes me sad as I really want one. Also Flygon didn’t get a mega evolution in gen 6 even though I think Flygon had great potential for a cool mega. Poor Flygon
I have a soft spot for Dewgong! He was in my original lineup as my water/ice Pokemon when I first played red as a kid. Eventually I swapped him out for articuno as I needed the extra firepower to defeat the elite four, but it cut me deep to do so!
