If it helps I buy basically every product they put out through distributors, which means I purchase stuff like the PokeBall tins and outdated Battle Decks. You may have to spend $300 on a single UPC, but the value is there if you wanted to sell. I have to drop several thousand on crap I know will not sell at all and even breaking them down can be a hassle.

Jealousy over Pokémon cards is as old as the hobby. Playground, internet, kids, adults, it makes no difference. Being jealous of other people’s cards or opportunities isn’t rooted in animosity - it’s just that this is a hobby rooted in want. There is always the want to have something you don’t have, or sometimes what others have, because collecting the things we want is why we collect in the first place. It is what unites us all.
I don’t think there’s anything wrong with being a little red in the cheeks and feeling envious of other people’s cool stuff. You know who else is a little red in the cheeks? A little friend you might have heard of named PIKACHU. Really makes you think, doesn’t it? So true…

You’re right of course, but even if it were, I don’t think it is feasible to get into a tizzy every time someone exhibits mild symptoms of envy in a place where blasé 8-figure Humpbacks socialize with yellowfin tunas that complain about one low three-figure product.
I’d think sellers love a good dose of jealousy, whenever convenient. Much profit to be made when people have a ravenous, deeply heartfelt desire for the product you’re peddling and are not treating it as “cardboard lol whatever”.

Thanks for letting us know! I also noticed they have some of their Pokemon Center exclusive Celebrations ETBs in stock. I didn’t have any of those so I bought a few.

Solid prices on the UPCs. My local Facebook groups are still getting hoards of people asking (and getting) $320-330 per box.
My friend caught a restock at Barnes and Noble and bought a UPC for each of us. I’m super stoked that I found one at the actual retail price! Hoping to find one more to keep sealed.

I would still prefer to pay retail for the UPC, but I think if the prices hit $200 I will bite. There’s a lot of value in the box and there’s still cards I need from the packs.
Not to mention that if I pull another Charizard that’s a $100 rebate right there. The odds aren’t terrible for recouping that cost.
Everything except UPC seems to be easy to get now also insane deals on top loaders, sleeves and PSA protection gear

I wish this supply for sealed product was as good in Japan. Still not a pack to be seen where I am.
I love how so many people swore up and down a month ago that the Pokemon center ETB would never restock again… I’m glad I passed. My only regret was buying so many regular ETB. In the end I bought 3 from the pokemon center, which is perfect. 1 to open, 1 to save and 1 to ponder the possibilities of opening one day… lol
I hope the UPC gets the same treatment as the PC exclusive ETBs. They’ve been in-stock on pokemoncenter for almost a week now. I live rural so the closest town that would stock them is a 60 minute drive one-way. My grocery store does get cards but they haven’t stocked an UPC yet. Interestingly enough back during the huge hype cycle people would drive an hour or more just to scalp my town but now product sits out for a few days.
Everyone on reddit is convinced there are literally one million UPCs about to be unloaded somehow
