Can we make ANY predictions? I mean, not only do we not have crystal balls, but many of the typical predictors in the world and society are going to be unreliable or unstable for the next little while at least. The best I can figure is that luxury budgets for the average, median, and below are going to get tighter, and we’ll see a rise in flipping and scalping only to have it met with a cooled market. Thus a quick collapse of the scalper. (OK this is a bit fanciful. A man can dream, dammit!)
I do think we’re starting to see a drop in some of the older modern full arts tho. It’ll be interesting to see if it continues; if the market is reaching “full art saturation” where it simply can’t absorb all these wonderful things, and would-be emotion-buyers for the old stuff are just buying new stuff…

I predict that because they gave us one in PkMn Pokt, we will NOT get a FA Sruge in TCG. 
Wait for 2026 and the 30th anniversary. We’ll see what overwhelming really is !

I’ve been seeing “the 30th anniversary is going to be crazy” ever since the 25th anny. I don’t think the round number will be anything special. The 25th wasn’t even that special when you look back at it

I was actually thinking about 2016 indeed ! Many great cards, too many… It’s my favorite year but it’s so hard to collect the cards of this year !
The 30th anniversary of Pokémon will be wonderful with exclusive and commemorative merchandise from all eras of the TCG. In fact, it will be so wonderful and commemorative that it will be overloaded with monetization and supply shortages and be terrible.
