2021 Pokemon Stamp box seal?

Hello, was wondering what’s actually in the box for items such as Mercari

I think the stamps have to be removed as there’s restrictions on who can sell these in Japan. Can anyone more familiar with Mercari / Japanese please confirm whether this item for sale includes the two promo cards? If they aren’t originally in the box, how were these packaged originally?

If this doesn’t include the stamps or promos, what exactly is in the box?

Thanks!

This is whats supposed to be in a COMPLETE stamp box. The price alone of that Mercari listing tells you the promo cards are not in there.

Thanks! I’m confused how these are sealed… is it that the original seal is broken, cards taken out and then the package revealed again?

I’ve never bought the box on Mercari. Back when they were cheaper, people sold just the promo packet (one packet contained both the Pikachu and Cramorant promo). I believe like you mentioned though any sales through Mercari the seller had to remove the stamps. I dont believe the box had any kind of wrapping though on it

I bought a few sealed (weirdly I received the stampsheets for all of them :vulcan_salute:). The ‘seal’ was more of a giant team bag; the boxes weren’t shrink-wrapped.

Thanks all. One final question: what are the Pikachu / Charizard / Eevee “cards”? Pictures seem to show something looking like stickers?

Postcards, though shaped strangely

This was my experience as well

You guys have been amazing. Thanks! Should’ve got them at $300 when I saw them then!

Would welcome thoughts on whether current prices are a peak or they’re expected to go higher?

I think they will go down then up. They’ve cooled a smidge the last month or so, but I think they’ll do more than fine over the next 5 years.

To go along with this, I agree as well that prices will most likely be flat/down then go back up again. These last year in PSA 10 were around $300-400…so they went up very quickly.

I personally love the “artist” cards…and crosses over with a bunch of different collectors.

This is correct. In fact the boxes arrived at post offices unsealed along with unused team bags, and some (not sure if all) post offices will just hand them separately to customers and let them tuck the boxes into and seal the bags themselves.

Keep in mind that selling stamps in Japan ‘technically’ requires you to have a special license, because stamps creep over into the realm of legal tender. So a lot of the stamp boxes were resold with the stamps being removed by the reseller. But to echo what others said, my complete box came in what is essentially a team bag loosely put around it.
