If anyone needs a spectator badge by the way, us competitors get a spare one in our stuff that we can sell secondhand. So if someone here still needs one feel free to reach out to me!
Best things to bring for trades? Are random non forum people in the trade room generally looking for old WOTC holos, new playable staple cards? New gx/rainbow rares? PSA 9/10 graded cards?
Just trying to figure out what may be best to bring. Iām sure the answer to an extent is all of the above but if there is a main trend what is it?
In Boston I did some fun trades, nothing too crazy (did get a nm-mt Japanese GS Charizard) but itās nice to have some cards from forum members that you know. Plus everyone collects different things so thereās bound to be some obscure cool stuff people bring.
That being said, for actually acquiring cards you want, cash is king.
You are technically not allowed, but people find a way around.
Regardless the trade section is extinct. It was weak last year and even weaker this year. Some people are setting up away from the venue due to over scrutinizing from Pokemon.
Worlds would benefit so much with a vendor area like they do as some regionals and the international championship. The pokemon center was nice but the trade area was just weird IMO.
I cleaned up pretty well at some of the card shops around town though to make up for it
Glad I made it down for the short time that I did. It was really awesome meeting everyone and I had a great time. I would highly recommend everyone try to make it when they can. Hopefully next year I can be in town for more than just 24 hours.
