$20,000, $16,000 and only $500?!

That really doesn’t bother me much as technically the Jpn base set is the first “edition” although not a “1st edition” release.

When they add words like “no shining gold star hyper ultra” it becomes quite greasy… none of those things have anything to do with the card being sold and only served to mislead.

what about the bidder who has bid on almost all of their items with 337 feedback and 96% bid with seller. Is that normal?

True. I think even Gary lists most of his stuff as Unlimited Edition 1st Base or something like that. I’m ok with this, I think it’s a brilliant way to hit all the right keywords.

I’d hope someone who drops $1k on a card has a little more sense than that…

The intention of the title is still very obvious and some (myself included) may argue is misleading. Still, a lot of the fault lands on ebay’s strict boolean search filters, something I’d predict will change over time as they slowly develop better machine learning search algorithms. Right now though, the system only rewards users behaving this way.

Although I’d agree the title here is a little greasy, with results like that I can’t blame anyone doing it. Especially with something that is so ethically “light grey”.

A couple have just been bought after that auction

Nice catch. Looks a bit like JIT’s been shillin’ his auctions. Same bidder with 226 feedback appears in almost every one of JIT’s auctions but never wins. Pretty damning evidence I’d say.

If that is true, it’s a permanent ban from the fourum.

@kkthxbai should have a good explanation for this I hope.

Really??

I have a few good clients in Australia, Switzerland who buy all their psa cards through me. They purchase up to 40-80 cards at a single given time, and it’s advertised all around Australia. There is at least 3 of my buyers i have who like to bid on many of the cards at one time. Some are investing for the future, and trying to buy alot. I’m not sure why i have to explain my buyers bidding… but they are regular customers of mine, who i have paid invoices for all.

Please don’t accuse me of shilling… i’ve been selling for over 9+ years, am a practicing catholic, and have been against shilling for a long time.

It’s so funny actually haha… i know exactly which buyer your talking about lol, he has bought from me for a long time, big invoices on my ebay, all paid of course.

That 226 feedback person bid $150 on this card that went for over $1k. Big deal.

Maybe that person has also gotten a few steals low bidding on several auctions before. I know this is actually a thing.

I also notice there’s strange bidding on about 90% auctions I look at on ebay, so I’m not even disagreeing with you guys that the bid % is suspicious, but you should slow down with your ban warnings @chok .

Not that its your fault whatsoever, but the 338* feedback dude’s string bidding shenans would get him flagged on PWCC auctions.

Actually pretty funny that the dude who won sniped it so high, I should have just done it to the BIN price of the other two. I found one nearly the same price as his snipe, I’d rather just get my cards from forum members.

I mean no disrespect whatsoever.

Well it’s not a ban warning but if some people see it that way then I apologize for that.

I have bought from @kkthxbai before and he is a wonderful seller and works with his customers very well. That’s why I was shocked when someone brought up shill bidding on his items.

Since there was a claim that Andrew had been shilling, I think it is fair that he should stand out and defend himself, at least that is what I would do.

All Andrew needed to do was to say what he said just now, just to clear up any confusion that exist. And it did.

Don’t think of me as a person that wants to ban people at any opportunity that opens itself because that is not who I am. I am just genuinely shocked that a trusted seller was accused of shilling and I was hoping he can explain himself. And that was what he did.

I trust J-I-T, I’ve seen way too many auctions of his, for cards that were either extremely rare or low pop, end at a very low number…

Heck, this auction defends him heavily.

oh gosh, you feel my heartbreak! Even last month! remember my blue back gengar psa 10 topsun… ahh. So many Japanese items go under the radar, and are less popular than English.

I recently changed my account from ebay.com.au to ebay.com as well, so i think this month my auctions had alot better awareness on the USA website finally…T.T whenever i list on aus, my items would barely come up on ebay.com, so now probably people can see them overseas.

One customer bought 43 psa cards.
That 337 guy ended up winning 6 only, even when he bidded on alot more. He has already paid as well.
My other regular guy only won 8 cards, he usually gets alot more, but it was hard this month to win.

I have some crazy customers always from Australia usually, who are even on my private email lists as well. So i let them know when i do my auction, and give everyone a fair chance to bid.

With regards to the zard base price, i was surprised by that, i’m sorry i use different terms in my titles to broaden searches the same way Gary and many other people do with their listings (the description and title was clear and honest, and i use individual photos for all my listings, so no stock images etc).

Thank-you to those whom support always. I try and give back to the community, and always add free items to everyone who orders or wins.

There’s people that bid on a ton of $0.99 auctions and try to get a deal steal.

Also Australians just don’t have access to the listings you see on ebay all day. Heck, I’m in Canada and I probably don’t see 50% of the Pokemon card listings. That’s the harsh reality for international buyers. Wise move to move to .com!

I have a noob question, how would I change to .com? I’m on .ca and would prefer listing in USD but I had heard there was a new rule that prevents to making the switch from CAD. If any of you guys know, can you kindly send a pm. Thanks.

Just a reminder that if you have suspicions about whether a user on the forum is breaking the rules, the best thing to do is to PM a staff member. Having open discussions where “mob mentality” can rule is not what we want here.

As such let’s stop talking about any alleged shill bidding, any posts to that effect will be removed.

Seems like the price for the japanese base Charizard PSA 10 is back to normal. The PWCC auction yesterday ended at $515. I managed to win this one, loved the very old cert number on the new PSA case haha :stuck_out_tongue: I also think it is a beautiful copy → link
Seems like the price of the last sold ones was really an exception. Lucky for the sellers
But I feel the prices for PSA 10 japanese base Charizards will eventually rise too. But not in such big steps as the other Charizards.

Japanese values rarely keep pace with English increases and often times suffer gravely:(

Got there finally!
