1st Ed box break

yo I mean it really doesn’t get much better than that.The box wasn’t riddled with magnetons and such. the only 2 unfortunate holos were the Riachus.

I think psa wilĺ give most of the holos tonight a 10 unless there is some glaring issue with them. They arnt going to hype the label for holos only and not give it out to any of the cards.

It’s like the old certs vs new argument and abit of a conspiracy theory but something tells me we get alot of 10s because of who opened it and that if Rusty would have opened the box himself he would get the pop control 9s.

Overall amazing box yet again and I’m glad they went with this cònfirmed legit box for the big night over trusting any of the others for such an import night of pokemon history.

Actually it would be insane for PSA to just give the cards PSA 10 designators if the cards aren’t 10’s.

That being said, they are all looking very clean out of the pack so I’m not going to be shocked if the vast majority get 10’s.

Another great livestream but slightly less exciting than the first one which was my favourite experience of the hobby recently. 1st edition base feels oversaturated at this point though, there’s only so many times you can call Magmar a fire chicken and Diglet a hotdog.

Would have been interesting for him to move onto other sets but pretty much everything else is a downgrade at this point. I love how Mike comments on the cards and would be cool if they done some 1st edition Neo sets or Gym Challenge

It’s never been about the pop, but the grade itself is important on higher end cards because of PSA’s grade guarantee.

Yeah exactly these things are -EV long term, if anything he’s probably happier that it was a good box than if it was a bad one.

I recently sold a few Hidden Fates tins that were sitting under my desk for months and the buyer let me know he got the SV49 Charizard. I was happier knowing that than that they didn’t get anything good because I knew I wasn’t opening those tins either way

One guy there, Grant Navarre, got a pack but only got a Dugtrio.

LP apparently said PSA has a courier that is going to pick them up. My guess is they will be express graded on Monday? No clue what they will show up in the PSA pop reports as.

but overall, less people watched this stream. Last one was 350k peak live, this one was 250k peak live. So an approximately 30% less people watching live.

This was something i mentioned in other threads/discords at the time, im not sure if this box was broken in the US at the same time as the previous one?

It was 2AM in the UK, UK & Euuope is a big part of the Pokemon community, perhaps the biggest outside of Japan/US so you will have many people watching it on youtube later on.

I think that’s a typical drop. The first break was on a Monday night. I know when it comes to TV ratings, except for football, all TV tends to perform better Mon-Thurs. A lot of people have other stuff to do on Saturday night.

Watched it this morning, thought it was pretty good and enjoyed seeing what holos were pulled of course but definitely not on the same level as the first one. The first one felt more organic and even though he had sold the packs at least most if not all of the buyers were really into the cards. The energy of the room wasn’t the same this time either.

This time it just felt like a massive shill event for crypto douche bags and frankly they are the last kinds of people we need or want in our hobby, I can’t even defend L0gan Paul himself like I did on the first box as he is seemingly leading the charge with his NFT rubbish he’s selling/shilling. I guess I have learned there are literally no limits of what people would spend their money on when their favorite influencer tells them it’s a good investment. For me now there is virtually no difference between L0gan Paul & collectables guru.

Kind of a big shame now that he has so many more boxes and we could see many more of these types of events.
