I know you can’t rely on pictures, but from the listing it looks like it was a very strong 8. Maybe the bidders were bidding in hopes of a possible regrade? Either way, I paid $3600 for my thick stamp 8 just TWO weeks ago! Is this even sustainable?!
Sweet, I had my grey stamp psa 8 listed for that price for months with barely even an offer, took it down 1 month ago when I noticed the change in tide.
@hyruleguardian, yup. I was very sad about that Mewtwo. I thought it would sell around the $450 range (which was my highest) but it jumped up literally in the last few seconds. I’m not sure if the $850 listing contributed to the winning bid price since that is the only listing currently on eBay. FOMO didn’t get me this time.
Actually it is a BGS 9.5 trio for sale not the other one. At a quick glance I saw the same cards and same price and my brain thought it was the same auction. Still don’t know if that trio sold or if the seller pulled it.
depends on what you want to do with the 9k. zard has gone up but so have all the other cards; in terms of relative purchasing power it hasn’t really moved if you’re looking to sell it to buy other cards
if you need it to pay credit card debt however its a different story. its a sellers market rn.
I don’t have debt but don’t want to regret not being able to sell at its highest. Do you think the prices will go higher in the upcoming years or 9K will be highest it ever sees? I really don’t know what to do so any help would be great. I’m a collectors first and seller last. I would never think in my life my PSA 9 Charizard would now be worth 9K. It’s not even a BgS 9.5
Any chance PSA 9 1st ed Zard is a 12K-15K card in 1 or 2 years like a BgS 9.5? The prices can’t stop climbing and wanting to know if this trend is going to continue
None of us can predict the future. All I know is I’m sure threads were made and questions were asked about whether PSA 9 1st Edition Charizard could one day ever surpass $1,000… then $2,500… $5,000… see the trend?
Thanks bro! I’m going to hold now. You have no idea how hard it is since I got an offer for $8K the other week and just recently $9K. So many people I’ve met told me it’s a bubble it’s all due to stimulus checks. I’m going to hold since I’m young and don’t need the money at the moment.
I think you are over estimating the power off stimulus checks. I guess it doesn’t make the difference for a buyer who is willing to pay 9k for a pokemon card.
I assume the buyer would pay that price no matter If check or not.
Those who attribute price increases with stimulus checks are just salty that they’re missing out on cards that they should’ve bought before said price increase.
I have. been trying to figure out where all the salt comes from and why. You just hit the nail on the head. I’ve also come to this same conclusion as you. Called Fear I Already Missed Out.
