Ha apparently I sold my BGS 9 Zard to him for 13k a month or two ago, didn’t even realize.
The guy wanted it shipped out to him YESTERDAY when I sold it. Like literally wanted me to ship that minute and overnighted. I’m like, chill man I’ll get it out tomorrow if I can.
I remember telling my wife sounds like this guy wants to flip this card immediately, now I see I was probably right.
But I mean no hate on flippers. Maybe I should start posting on Instagram next to my 2012 Honda Civic - anybody have a gold watch I can borrow?
yeah, once in a while, i get a guy that would ask for the item to be shipped the minute they place an order. i usually get a feeling this guy isn’t in the hobby for the love of the hobby, or is a big jerk…just my jerk-dar going from personal experience.
I almost sold this guy a card (I didn’t even realize who he was until reading this lol). It was a 1st Edition Base PSA 9 Holo and he sent me an offer at like 60% of my asking, and I swear not even an hour later he followed up with 1 or 2 messages asking if I got his offer and whether or not I was going to accept because this was the last holo he needed to finish his 1st edition base set. I guess that wasn’t why he needed it after all.
Would be funny if someone on efour just posted some 9s and 10s of some 1st ed, wait for the guy to offer, and be like ‘naw dude, we don’t like your practice’ just to troll him.
It makes a lot of sense reading these anecdotes about this guy now. He bought a PSA 10 card from me and returned it due to some slight whitening which was visible on the pictures before he bought it. His reason was “I can’t resell it as a 10 and I was going to hold it in my collection but it’s a destroyed 10. I wouldn’t have paid a record high for a destroyed 10.” I accepted the return and sold it days later on eBay for a few hundred more than he paid.
Did that first sale get recorded? He may have just been trying to manipulate the market long enough to flip his own card - and based on your later sale it appears to have worked haha
No, the first sale was private through f&f on IG. After he returned it, an eBay auction for the same card ended at a new high and I think that’s what created the demand for my card when I listed it.

Happened to me too on a Red Cheek Pikachu. There was a light scratch on the case which you could see prior and he came at me tough to take it back because he couldn’t re-sell. I noted it was in multiple pictures and was threatened to get bad mouthed. Took it back as it’s not a big deal and I am not a big seller.
I was talking with OG Pokemon and would like to give more insight on the 25K market manipulation accusation. I will try and provide as much info as possible for you guys on the topic.
OG Pokemon on IG posted a story about a sold ebay listing for a PSA 9 1st Ed Charizard. Link below:
The problem with the sold listing is that the seller at the time had a 0 for their feedback score. Usually raises some initial red flags, especially for this card. Well, it gets sold to Collectibles Guru who posts the zard up on IG and ebay for like 50k. The link is long so just search psa 9 1st ed charizard on ebay and you will see his listing.
I personally do not believe this is concrete evidence that he manipulated the market. However, it is fishy that the record price for the psa 9 was sold by a seller with 0 feedback score and is now in the hands of someone who hypes up charizards almost every day.
