Bump, thoughts on value for psa 6/7? I’m going to shoot for one of these and trying to ballpark values. I doubt I could snag an 8, but possible if I could get a clean 8 for that ball parked range
I’m going to guess 1800 for a 6 and 2400 for a 7
That was my thought as well^
I still don’t understand how this card isnt the Black lotus of Pokémon.
Scarce. Check. Low pop. Check. Limited run. Double check. First ever Charizard. Check.
Lacking the iconicness
Very true. I am kidding in a way. I guess I’m somewhat happy. The market on these just isn’t that strong. I’ll get a much better graded version of this card as opposed to a 1st Ed base. I prefer the no rarity anyway. So win win for me
Same, I see these cards as “prototypes” that alone is why I love No Raritans.
For sure, I’m not naive to think they will ever command 1st ed base pricing except maybe the 9/10. But I also think that eventually they will have their day. Most of the ungraded copies are ROUGH. Pulling these from a pack seems like catching lightning in a bottle.
If it’s on video.
I would love to hear even a story of someone pulling a no rarity Zard out of a starter deck or short pack in the last 2 yrs. my guess is the number is in the single digits
Considering the number of 1st edition base packs, and boxes still circulating. My guess is there is way more high grade 1st ed base Zards left to pull.
There’s plenty, I can see dusty ass cases sitting in some old school store owners garage. Store owner unaware and living his life without a care in the world that those boxes are even there. Shit I bet Gary has a bunch of boxes he’d never let go just because “nope”. There’s collectors out there holding onto boxes and we know it. As soon as they open one box they have the potential to pull 3 Charizards(with some luck).
Now, where are we all going to pull a No rarity Charizard from? It’s border line terrifying…
Shit. Next thing you know people will get ideas and the price on no rarities goes up. We better keep this to ourselves

The day will definitely come!!
I paid $11,500 privately for a PSA 9 Charizard No Rarity in June.
My instinct is that a PSA 9 today is closer to $15,000 - $20,000 if you can find a willing seller. The PSA 10 is 3-4X.
PSA 10 (Pop 6) = $50,000 card. And, if you doubt that, someone offer it to me at that price, and I’ll give it a thought.
PSA 9 (Pop 21) = $15,000 - $20,000 card. You can’t find under $30,000 on eBay, but I think folks are fishing.
^ I would agree based on what I am finding while digging around. One PSA 9 shows to have sold for 30k though. Not sure if it was ever paid for.
There are a few things I’ve noticed. It seems like the lower end of the no rarity Charizard market is nonexistent. Cards that are say psa 2-6 don’t seem to have a lot of interested buyers to drive the price to a consistent level. Take the card I just bought. Paid 800$ I wasn’t bidding against that many people. And it sat at 400 until 2 min before I took it to over 800. There are also a few raw cards that look to be in the 4-6 range and they just sit. I think that there is still such a limited market for them. I don’t expect that to change for mid level cards. But I would think the psa 8 level and above will see some upward movement as people decide to hold onto them.
Maybe that is an opportunity? I imagine those that are gunning for psa 8 and above would move down eventually if they can’t find it or prices go up too much
I think eventually, this could be the case similar to the 1st edition base. But, there doesn’t seem to be any indicators this will happen anytime soon. I was completely blown away I got the card I did. I wanted a 6-7 level card. But felt that if something changed. I might not get one at all. So I bought that, and I’ll keep it until I upgrade, and even then may still keep it.
I just noticed the $30,000 sale on July 1st for the PSA 9.
The card is re-listed on eBay at $30,000.
I think it’s fair to say someone got cold feet.
I feel confident in the $15-20k number.
And a multiple of the PSA 9 for the PSA 10 (3X+)
PS - nobody has offered me one. Pop 6.
One is with syndicate and one is with me so essentially a pop 4 of potential people to get it from as neither of us will sell. I don’t know where the other four are, but I know one was sold for 30kish years ago. I don’t think that one will hit the market anytime soon, unless it was bought by an old school investor. So, probably closer to pop 3 of availability.
