1,200,000$ for a jungle 1st edition box

Just saw this on ebay sold listing.

1200000 US$ for a jungle 1st box sold by PWCC.

Can someone explain me this price? Is it a real sale?

No. Short explanation: trolls

PWCC bidders are not supposer to be verified? Or they are verified only on their website and not on ebay? Real question, i absolutly don’t know how somebody can bid that high to a seroous auction house if its fake.

There’s no consequences to trolling on eBay with a throwaway account at the moment, and pwcc runs their service through eBay. Obviously it is not a remotely correct price.

Why does PWCC run their service through your ebay? They should get their own Ebay acct.

Lol

That sale is bogus AF. 100% bet winner doesn’t pay that crap.

PWCC bidders are only verified if PWCC knows it’s an expensive item and most likely the final bid may be tampered with, like a 1st ed base Charizard PSA 10.

PWCC won’t put verification on cards/items that won’t go into such high digits, as it’ll become a hassle to moderate every single auction post, and you wouldn’t want to go through the hassle of verification with PWCC to win like a 50$ item. I know a jungle box is worth quite a lot, but I don’t think it met PWCC’s threshold at the time that auction happened.

This is anecdotal I read from other threads, but what happened in this instance is some Twitch/Youtube streamer mentioned that they were looking to buy a box on Jungle to open it live on their channel, and trolls from the chat decided it woulld be hilarious to ruin their chances by making the box impossible to buy.

Placing a bid is easy.

It will reach that price one day so might as well pay it now.

Thank you for taking time to explain this. It sounds very logical.

I know lol. I bid enought on ebay to know it.

But I thought they verified their bidders for that kind of item. I see now they don’t.

Do you know if the “sale report” will be remove from ebay sold listing after they found it’s a fake bid? (real question, I’m new to certain aspect of this hobby and i’m always learning).

Nope; eBay shows unpaid items under sold. I don’t know why they do, but they do.
