For ghost stardust, yugiohgermany has been offering I think 13k usd? Doesn’t seem to have gotten any bites yet. There’s also one on eBay for sale at 20k
The card should be in the middle imo i.e. 15-17k usd
So like many I collected yugioh as a kid, my question is, is there any way to tell the difference between original unlimited LOB MRD etc versus the reprints that came out?
If you have IG, tradenatural@ has some good guides on his posts. Basically the text font/size/placement is slightly different and that’s how you can tell.
Can anybody help me to understand how to easily tell if an LOB common comes from a wavy or glossy box? Sometimes I can tell but I’m definitely missing something. Even if you had a link to a picture of a wavy common that would help, thanks.
Wavy non-holos look a lot flatter, the glossy ones look shinier? It’s hard to describe unless you have them side by side or have handled a lot of them. If you’re asking about a graded card, from my experience (I’ve graded about 10% of all the LOB cards at PSA) wavy ones are SIGNIFICANTLY easier to grade than glossy, so if you have a graded common that’s a 10 chances are it is probably wavy.
Prioritize what you would like to collect.
Market is dry cause Yugioh is quietly booming also rn. People just dont realize it and only compare everything to pokemon instead of taking it at face value and being like damn this is a really good market. From what i understand, the limited promos are actually limited in print runs and dont usually last long on the market when available.
But being as you said “what might be best to prioritize obtaining in the long term over the next few years?” sounds like you want investment advice to me. Your guess is as good as ours.
Does anyone know the print run differences of the GBI Egyptian God Cards in Secret Rare versus Ultra Rare? Also, do the Asian English variants of cards have any decent value? I accidently purchased a few 1st ed. cards in Asian-English. They look nice but they may be worthless?
The god cards were actually talked about a few pages back in this thread.
asian-english cards it depends on the card but the high demand cards in general have some decent value still but nowhere near what the NA english cards are worth. which ones did you get?
There were just so many more of those printed and more people collect them so that’s why they are available. And from what I understand, some of the japanese limited promos were only printed to a couple thousand copies total which is nothing.
I haven’t bought a Yu-Gi-Oh box for 15 or so years so can’t help you much in authenticating your new box, but just would like to say that is an awesome acquisition!
What a great set… Rookie set cards for summoned skull, magician of faith, mirror force, heavy storm, kuriboh.
