Anyone know the market value of a PSA 10 1st Edition SDK Blue-Eyes White Dragon? May be looking to buy one…I know they increase in value significantly since last year.
$2500-3000 currently.

I haven’t collected yugioh since the early 2000s and I recently purchased a big collection from someone.
Can someone remind me on how to look up which set the cards are from?
I have some exodia, blue eyes white dragons, dark magicians and I cannot figure out what set they are from

Below the picture on the card, you’ll see a set abbreviation and number. For example, here is LOB BEWD. Set is LOB, card # is 001.

If the front of the card is English and the back has the Japanese logo it’s Asian-English print, not North American.

Theres two red eyes at 3.3k and 3.9k obo on ebay. At the peak one sold for 5k, so really its in free fall and whatever either of those sell for is the market price.

The sets can be found at the mid-right of the older cards (or bottom-left of newer cards). Keep in mind that the region it was released in takes a huge part in how rare a certain card is as well. If we take the first LOB (Legends of Blue-Eyes White Dragon) set as example, the English versions would be:
- LOB-000 (regular back with this logo) - North American version
- LOB-000 (Asian-English back with this logo) - Asian-English version
- LOB-EN000 - Worldwide version
- LOB-E000 - European version
- LOB-A000 - Oceanic version
And non-English ones:
- LOB-G000 - German version
- LDD-F000 - French version
- LDD-C000 - Canadian-French version
- LDD-I000 - Italian version
- LDD-S000 - Spanish version
- LDB-P000 - Portuguese version
- LOB-K000 - Korean version
(there is also Japanese, Traditional Chinese, etc. for other sets)
The North American 1st edition LOB set for Yu-Gi-Oh is comparable to the Shadowless 1st edition Base Set for Pokémon (in terms of collectability/rarity, value-wise Yu-Gi-Oh is still behind of course, since it’s newer than Pokémon), so those you mainly want to look out for.
And certain misprints can be worth quite a bit of money as well.

Black rose is 4k and stardust is at least 5k, probably more like 6k or so. The former still appears occasionally but the latter is very hard to come by…I’ve tried to buy every single stardust for the last two years and only succeeded in buying two, a lot of pent up demand everywhere. Among the iconic set cards of yugioh that card is the most difficult by a longshot to accumulate, and it’s not gonna get easier…where u gonna find 144 duelist tins to open for a ghost stardust?

Yeah that seems like the current price. Ill start by offering the guy 5k and move up from there. the top of yugioh isn’t that high of a price point but the value you get is amazing thats why I have no problem dropping money into it. I’m about to buy another blue eyes since some guy is offering it less than market value. Thanks.
They’re the zard and rayquaza gold stars of yugioh so probably can’t go wrong!

Not sure if I should put this in the buy section or here but I’m looking for some psa 9 1st ed holos from the original Yugioh sets up through invasion of chaos. I’m looking to just purchase my favorite cards and only in 9s for now as I don’t know as much about the Yugioh card market and don’t want to go too crazy buying 10s. I’m looking for:
- Toon cards from mrl, thousand eyes restrict, relinquished, jinzo, buster blader, black illusion ritual, spellbinding circle, summoned skull, change of heart, thousand dragon, time wizard, barrel dragon, mirror force & kuriboh. Id maybe buy some from lob (unsure because they’re more expensive) like swords of revealing light, curse of dragon, dark hole, polymerization & Gaia the fierce knight. I doubt anyone here has any up for sale but if u do feel free to message me or comment and I’ll try to come up with a price, thanks.

As I have somewhat similar interests in Yugioh, what are you basing your choices on? Do you remember these from your childhood, do you like the artwork, do you seek the most powerful TCG cards or the most iconic cards from the anime?
@muk those are my favorite set cards excluding some of the very expensive ones from LOB. I always loved all of Pegasus’s cards like the toon monsters and relinquished. My most nostalgic card is probably the sdy dark magician which I already have in 1st ed which is nice. It’d be cool to own all the holos from the original sets but I’m just starting off with my favorites for now.

The toon monsters were terrible for gameplay, but looked awesome. I really liked Toon Summoned Skull and Dark Magician Girl. Great subset of cards!

@seafoamarticuno yeah they were awful lol. I started playing again a little bit a few years ago and having toon kingdom from Dragons of legend 2 I think made them wayyy better but still not even close to being relevant.
