I love all the old back promos, but this is probably my favourite modern card. Komiya, Psyduck, a rare example of a significant figure in the Pokemon franchise (Masuda) incorporated in the art, art matching the release event, different presentation and holo style (Pokekyun). Scream Psyduck is a close second, but this just has those few more layers from a Pokemon perspective.

Mine is Dragonite black star 5.

It’s not expensive, it’s not the most beautiful promo ever made, it’s definitely not rare or special and it’s not even the full art of the ANA promo.

The reason is, on my 8th birthday the movie was released and this was the promo I got.
It was the first time I ever saw a black star card, it was the first time I ever saw the magic word promo on a card.
I’ve got some serious nostalgic fondness for it.

My old favorite was Please Trade but this was already taken – I used to purchase every listing of this card I saw on eBay back in 2016-18 for under $20 so have easily 50+ copies now lol. I even wrote a blog post about it back then.

My alternative favorite has to be something from the retro / PCG era now. I really like the PCL and PCG-P energies but think if I had to choose one I would go with Poke Dude (my copy is a PSA 4):

Alto Mare’s Latios and Latias are some of my favourite promo cards. Beautifully illustrated by the legendary Mitsuhiro Arita. Easily the best art of the legendary Gen 3 siblings and not too pricey to pick up either.

Not only one of my favorite promos, but just one of my favorites in general. Everything about the art is beautiful. I prefer the Japanese variant because the English one looks a bit too blingy with the holo border lol.
