Just purchased a 1st edition Neo Genesis collection and I noticed yellowing on many of the surfaces. It’s especially noticeable on the Togetic & Kingdra. Anyone know what this is? Is it a misprint? Some kind of damage?
Edit: Seller sent me a pic of his bgs 9 Lugia that has the same yellowing. Seems like it doesn’t negatively impact grading?
I’ve observed a very similar thing on a significant amount of Team Rocket Returns holos. There’s this yellow pattern/overlay that is on a large amount of holos from that set (but not from any other set that I’ve noticed). Not sure what the cause/deal is with it, but it might be the same thing that you’re observing.
Any experience with grading them? A lot of these I will probably binder so I’m not too fussed but the Togetic is pretty crazy. I’m considering returning them but I actually like all of the stuff that didn’t have this.
My Lugia has that kind of thing, and I’ve seen it on other lugias as well. My Lugia is a 10, so I don’t think it affects grade-ability. Not sure if that’s changed in recent years, but a ten is a ten.
