omg i didnt even realize this post exists! this will be great! Thank you for the hints and tips on search options!
Is there a phrase I can use to find unlimited cards (those without the 1st Edition stamp)? I was told a while ago that “without edition” is an option someone else uses, but translated using Google as “版なし” returns no results on Yahoo Auctions, so I’m guessing it’s not a popular thing to put on a listing.
I’ve had some luck using - Pokemon No Mark
Awesome guide. Tremendous help! ![]()
Does anyone know what I would use if I want to look for Vending series cards?

@papafrankgod, Thank you!
@sacari, np hope it works!
Sorry for the bump, but does anyone know the Japanese search term that’s commonly used for misprints/errors in TCGs (not Pokémon in particular)? I tried using google translate for ‘misprint’/‘error’, but those gave no results on Yahoo Japan.
Also, another term I was wondering about is ‘rare’ in terms of a collectible. If I try that as search term I only get some English cards as result, so apparently it’s not really a commonly used word among Japanese people themselves to describe it.
Greetz,
Quuador
I’ve had some success with エラー translated from Error and using the pokemon card short hand (ポケカ –) or even better Pokemon card (ポケモンカード –) from the list.
Though I’d also love to know if there’s a better term.
Also @pokemontrader this list is an absolute gem, it’s been so useful! Cheers ![]()

To add a little onto my earlier comment about searching for errors (エラー)
You can also use : 枠ズレ which translates to frame shift and can be used to search for OC cards.
Appreciate the information! Useful for a trip to Japan as well (when all this dies down of course).
Hey all, does someone happen to know a good Japanese search term for Bandai Carddass? Typing it in English brings very few results, there has to be a better method.
Thanks!
I use ポケモンカード バンダイ in my searches.
ポケモンカード for Pokemon Card
バンダイ for Bandai
Usually yields me results.
Works like a charm, thank you!
No problem. You can also use カードダス for Carddass alongside Pokemon Card (ポケモンカード) but sometimes you get a bunch of regular cards mixed in as well.
Thank you all for the knowledge posted on these forums!
Im trying to find Neo Destiny packs and/or a booster box. Ive tried the bulbapedia translation for Neo Destiny with/without the translation for sealed pack from the OP but Im not having any luck. Any help?

I will say there is not always a lot of sealed Japanese Neo destiny available to purchase, certainly not boxes (I would say maybe 1 or 2 boxes a year on average come up for sale). You might just need to be patient. I did a quick quick search and found these though:

hope that helps
Alright, I’ve found a few things on buyee that I would like to place some bids on, but this is my first time ever using this. Is it as simple as signing up an account, placing a bid and then paying for it, like eBay? Or are there more kinks in the process? I’m a US resident if that makes a difference
