The pikachu is never graded properly, right? I dont think PSA properly recognizes it as a japanese promo. Usually itâs just graded as a plain shadowless yellow cheeks.
Gary I have to ask, is there any chance they would tell the cards apart someday? I donât understand how the âgrey starâ pikachu or JR rally meowth can be graded correctly as japanese, but not this card. Is it really just because those cards have the tiny differences that make them easy to tell apart? The grey star and non holo pattern in this case.
The JR Rally mewtwo has the same issue. It will be graded as a normal english black star promo because it looks the same but different printing.
What would they have him do? Look at thousands of cards everyday or just certain ones? Either way, how can one person do the job unless they are willing to pay full time or something.
A huge Pokemon collector probably makes a somewhat modest wage to purchase the cards in their collection. From what Iâve heard, PSA only wants to pay the kind of unsustainable salaries that a child still living with their parents would settle for. Maybe if they an score some bored, wealthy, retired collector one day⊠all of us will be in luck. But they donât care enough to pay the price to put one on staff for a fair or remotely competitive wage. Personally, I think they should just have someone higher up that theyâre already paying a modest amount to fill this need/ learn more. But that wonât happen either.
