I feel like it was because it was a really odd value for the win though, like $511.20. I’m not 100% sure how it works but when it’s that specific I think that reflects the actual high bid. I should have bid higher…
<At least I have the set ungraded, but they are mixed condition and have the envelope corner issue.
Those are heavy prices. It’s impossible to judge condition of an unplayed card because they all seem to have the stupid corner indents usually. Also, @smpratte I said previously that was straight up the STEAL of that last auction. I think I partially did not think I had a shot, but man… Just a bit more.

Is $510 really a steal though? I think I’ve seen them all (except gengar) go for under $100 on auction individually. I picked up my Golem for something like $60. $510 is not bad for a full set, but I wouldn’t lose sleep over missing that price.
For a full set. I sold two psa 9sets between $700-800 over a year ago. I don’t doubt you can snipe them individually if you are vigilant. Also aren’t as available mint ungraded in Japan.
