WTB 2009 Tropical Wind Finalist DP25

Hey guys! I’ve been wanting to get into the Tropical Wind set for awhile now, so I thought I’d try and take care of a particularly difficult one, right off the bat. I know the placing singles for this set can be tricky to find, but I’m looking for this particular one with the DP25 code instead of the standard DP48 that corresponds with this year. I am not sure if semi finalist is the highest placer with this error, as it is a rare error and I believe this placing had at least one printed with this misprint. Price is somewhat difficult to pinpoint, but ill try to make an estimation and parameter based on sales of similar singles in the set plus a premium. If anyone knows or could help me locate this particular card, I am willing to pay $1000-$1500 for the finalist (if it exists) and $750 for the semi finalist, depending on condition. Price is negotiable and I am located in New Mexico. Thanks yall!

@megacon, interest for the worlds cards seems to be up, they used to fly under the radar and would sell in your price range. Unfortunately, I think those days are gone.

Is this the only world card set that has error versions of the cards?

I have a 2014 semi finalist champions festival PSA 9 (highest grade for this card - no 10s). I know its not exactly what you are after OP but if you are interested, get in touch

are there 12 Finalists? I thought itd be 6 considering the 3 age groups and 2 finalists per age group. Unless they were including the VGC groups as well at this point. And sounds like I ain’t getting that Finalist anytime soon lol. How debilitating

It’s two finalist cards per TCG and VGC, so 4 cards per age group. Then three ages groups. So 12 cards in total

For years after and including 2012 there are also Champion stamp cards, given to each respective winner.

Ah I see! Thanks for correcting me, I had no idea that’s how it worked back then. Do you know whether finalists these days, with the Champions Festival, still get two copies each?

To add to this, did the other placements also get two copies each of their respective stamp? (ie. for example the quarter-finalist getting two stamped cards, each?)

Thanks @anon83099482 for the info. Apologies @megacon for derailing your thread. Good luck with your search!
