Thanks to all of you who have helped me build my collection of old school decks this past year. Despite all the recent impressive price increases the prices of played 1st base trainer rares havn’t moved much and if anything they’ve gone down. Same is true for a few heavily played 1st base holos.
These are the cards I’m always buying (all 1st base, bad to okay condition). I’ll buy all that you have to sell.
$200 Chansey
$70 Lass
$60 Computer Search
$50 Super Energy Removal
$35 Pokemon Breeder
$35 Item Finder
$25 Scoop Up
$15 Professor Oak
$12 Plus Power
$10 Bill
$10 Energy Removal

Thanks again everyone
I’ve pretty much finished up the 4 decks I set out to complete except for some scarce trainers usually only available at a psa 9 premium. Closely related to this last project of mine I’d now like to start building up a play set or two (4-8 copies) of every 1st base card, and I’m going to start with some of the holos as well as the trainers that are difficult to find. Prices are negotiable based on condition but I’m looking for moderate play (psa 3-6) on the average.
$250 Alakazam
$180 Chansey
$170 Clefairy
$220 Gyarados
$190 Hitmonchan
$15 Machamp
$180 Magneton
$250 Mewtwo
$190 Nidoking
$210 Ninetails
$180 Poliwrath
$190 Raichu
$340 Venusaur
$190 Zapdos
$70 Dragonair
$40 Dugtrio
$35 Electrode
$100 Computer Search
$45 Item Finder
$120 Lass
$40 Pokemon Breeder
$35 Pokemon Trader
$35 Scoop Up
$100 Super Energy Removal
$13 Professor Oak
$10 Bill
$3 Basic Energy

Thank you to all who have helped me these past couple weeks.
The following spreadsheet details my progress in building these decks. Under “need” and “MP” you’ll find how many I need and what the price is. (Raw moderate play and/or PSA 3-6)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Pretty excited for this. (7/2/2020)
3x TCG World Champion Jason Klaczynski (’06 ’08 ’13) created a blog detailing the early Pokémon TCG formats including the first, which I’m in the process of building. I’m looking for raw moderate play (or PSA 3-6 that I’ll crack) 1st edition. My price = what I believe to be market price (MP) based off recent personal purchases & eBay sold listings. I’m accepting a large condition range so lets find the right price together.

I value this moderate play 240 card 4 deck collection at $9476
HAYMAKER
side note: moderate play Lass is 10x the price of other trainer rares simply because of the low PSA10 pop
BUZZAPDOS
ALAKACHAMP
side note: 1st shadowless Machamp has the same rarity/scarcity as the others
