I was kinda in this positon at the beginning of this year! Never been a psa 10 guy myself so Zard it is!

Personally, I’d have to go with the 1st edition Fossil box, because it just might contain the greatest Pokémon of all time!

Ampharos isn’t in fossil…

Haha indeed it isn’t, but Dragonite most certainly is! Ampharos is an awesome Pokémon too, I always caught one when playing gen 2 games.

Option 5. Unlim Charizard Base PSA 10 for 3k and keep the change. Its the most undervalued card at the moment. Havent seen any movement pre or post coronaboom. Price stuck at less than 3k for the last year or so but the 9 has more than doubled.

1st Edition Base Venusaur PSA 10

Fossil box.

Venusaur

I think I would have the box

1st Edition Base Venusaur PSA 10. My favorite starter with the best artwork imo.

Interesting results so far.

  1. PSA 8 1st Edition Charizard - 7
  2. PSA 10 1st Edition Venu - 6
  3. 1st Edition Fossil Box - 5

PSA 8 1ST ED ZARD!!

But this one triumphs: Option 5. Unlim Charizard Base PSA 10 for 3k and keep the change. Its the most undervalued card at the moment. Havent seen any movement pre or post coronaboom. Price stuck at less than 3k for the last year or so but the 9 has more than doubled.

Just maybe tells me that an Unlimited 10 was overvalued for a year or so and now the rest of the grades have caught up…??

Maybe, but did you know that historically the 10 has co sistently been worth 8-10× the value of a PSA 9? Now its worth 4 x the value of a 9 since the 9 has tripled in value. So either the 10 is fairly valued and the 9 is significantly overvalued and is in bubble territory after riding rona boom, which could reflect a lot of psa 9 set cards being in bubble territory, or, its undervalued.

I’d probably go with option 4. Those things keep going up.

1st edition zard at psa 8 is nice and that will go up too, but having two of something gives you more options

Fair enough, but it just be the 9s were undervalued for long and they are finally correcting themselves now. Could be that the true value should also have been the 10 is 4-5x the 9 price and not 8-10x. Impossible to know for sure as it is an ever changing market and all we can do is speculate.
