Sure, so this was the instagram post you made on October 30, where you mentioned you had 27 1st Edition Packs and you were selling them which would be opened on Steve Aoki’s youtube channel on 15/11/20.
I’m assuming you were only selling one and not 27 then? I thought you were selling 27 packs to be opened with Steve Aoki? I guess that makes sense now!
Yeah, I have 27 of those loose packs and someone bought one and donated it to the charity to open on the livestream and the charity keeps the contents. I’m guaranteeing there’s a Holo or I’ll eat the energys on the spot.
The box being opened has always been a donated base unlimited.
Edit…I read it over and don’t see where I said I was selling/opening all?
Very awesome to see this coming together @garyis2000, looking forward to seeing how I can donate and what we can all do to help the cause. Congratulations and thanks on behalf of everyone for doing this
Ah okay thanks for clearing that up Gary. You didn’t mention that you were selling or opening them all, but I had assumed when you mentioned you had 27 packs that you would be opening/selling them all, my mistake. Look forward to the event! Thank you for organising such an incredible event!
Ironically one of my asd clients who I worked with a few years ago got me back into collecting cards when he would earn them at the end of the week for reaching his goals and having great interactions! He is the single most kind soul I ever had the pleasure to share life with and I stay in touch with the family regularly. Household with a single dad and 4 boys all on the spectrum and the most positive and consistent source of willpower you could imagine.
i think youre confusing the two sides of this event.
the money benefits charity.
that does not mean the people that bought cards wish to receive nothing, or else we would have seen some of them say “donate the cards”, which no one has, because they are expecting cards in return for their donation . . .
I agree… I thought the importance of having experts like Gary at these things is to make sure the opening of the boxes and packs as well as handling, sleeving and top loader/semi rigid sleeving the cards were done professionally… weird?
I promise you Logan Paul and these pro wrestlers do not care about their PSA 9 nidorans and/or poliwraths. I would have donated $5k and let them keep the packs if they had reached out to me .
it’s unlimited base man this isn’t 1st edition. What is the absolute max they can pull from a pack, isn’t charizard like $2.5k now? Jeremy has what, $1m+ into pokemon. I’m sure he’s torn up. It’s just a fun event, they are raising for an awesome cause, focus on the positive, donate some $, help the kids
as a casual observer / non stream participant I went with $500. May do another 2-3 donations before the end of it on big pulls… again… focus on the cause
