Do you guys see World Champion decks as anything more than cheap fun items for kids to play at a high level with? I always pick one up because its interesting to see how the game changes throughout the years, but do think there is any increase in collectability down the line?
I personally feel like it’s something that would absolutely increase in value overtime, but for size/ease of sale/price increase potential it’s not going to be worth it compared to other pokemon products.
I am always fond on the World Championship decks, because it’s really fun to play the top tier decks without paying the top tier prices. However, it gets truly annoying trying to get specific niche cards that appeared in World Championship decks as you need to double check to make sure you’re not buying the “non-authentic” version of the card (I’m looking at you, Tropical Beach).
The sealed 06 decks are rare, and will likely increase in value as time goes on due to their scarcity. In general, they’re a great way to relive the past through the older formats.
