Am I the only one that thinks that Troll and Toad’s website looks disgusting?
Its so poorly laid out and it looks like malware incarnate with all of the pop-ups and flashy colors. I can’t be the only one that stopped using their website to avoid headaches.
Compare Troll and Toad to Collectors Cache and tell me which one you’d prefer using.
I keep getting a message asking to switch over to their new layout and I say no every time. Coolstuffinc did the same thing with their website and it absolutely ruined the buying experience for me. It used to be so much easier to find and buy certain cards and they made it so much more difficult. I stopped buying from them because of it.
I think their site looks fine. I’ve been using them since I got back into collecting 4-5 years ago though, so I guess I’m just used to it. My main issues with them as of the past year or so is that the “keyword” search function doesn’t seem to work anymore, and PSA cards are fucking everywhere now with no way to filter them out.
Not showing T&T NM price on 0 stock cards when searching a particular card is a slight annoyance. Work around is to go into the set itself and find the card.
It works, but it is not very pretty. It is still my go to option for getting all the various odd cards needed for completing sets. Being reliable is anyhow more important than having a fancy user friendly interface.
The old site looks straight from early 2000s and lately for some reason it’s very slow to me when I use it with Chrome, and what I mean by that is that when I search something and scroll down the search results it’s so slow. I tried the new beta and it’s faster but the site still doesn’t look great.
The old site is good, not pretty but usable. Maybe try using an adblock like I do for a smoother experience. The new one is trash, it lacks some features and it isn’t even that good loking.
It’s the same with both of my computers and I don’t have issues like that scrolling other sites so it’s weird. On Firefox it doesn’t do that though. Chrome and Brave are slow with it meanwhile
I think their website looks disgusting, once I see who it is. I have hated them since the first order, because it looked like they knocked dust off the cards with 1000 grit sandpaper.
I really dislike the 3rd party sellers that post ridiculous NM prices. I always sort sets by $$$ to $ and there’s always a few cards completely out of place because one 3rd party has no idea what the market price is.
