Who is Dr. Red?

I came across this ebay listing, and was confused by it because I have no idea who Dr. Red is. The best I can guess is that it’s Red Yoshida, the comedian who is part of TIM and who was on Pokemon Smash!. He was also featured on a card once in the BW era (see picture 2). It makes sense that he would be associated with Pokemon, but I don’t know why he would sign a random trophy card in English? I did some googling and I couldn’t find his autograph, but I may just be bad at searching

Also unrelated to the autograph specifically, but that exact listing is on ebay twice from two different sellers. Same pictures and everything. Both from Japan with two different prices

Dropshippers listing stuff from Mercari JP, which is pretty funny because it has already sold (as is usually the case).

No idea about Dr. Red though, doesn’t really say much on the original listing either…
