Which Fossil Mew is rarer - 1996 or 1997?

I just recently discovered Fossil Mew (Japanese) card has 2 versions, 1996 and 1997. Wonder which one is rarer? Thanks in advance!

I have never heard of different versions for Fossil Mew.

Fossil Mew came out in 1997. The 1996 appears to be a mislabel according to a reddit post I saw by quuador.

PSA mislabeled Japanese Jungle and Fossil as 1996 and only took them until last year to correct the mistake.
