Hi! My first post here,
I recently started collecting Japanese Pokémon cards by illustrator, and BulbaPedia is being of great help to me, but I find difficult to understand how many “versions” of a card exists (holo, reverse, 1st edition).
Is there a website with all this information? Because currently, I am managing by doing various searches over the internet and creating my own list in Excel, but I’m afraid to miss something, especially for information regarding the older cards.
Thanks everyone!
Bulbapedia. You need to go to the set information and there will be the info you want.
So go to the card, then click on the link for the set
Serebii has a drop down in their carddex where you can sort my specific artist. It’s not as detailed as bulbapedia though, especially for Japanese in my experience.
I did but most of the time it lacks informations, especially for Japanese ones
I don’t like Serebii because doesn’t show when a card get reprinted in another set or special collections
Welcome to what is hands down the first and biggest barrier to getting in to Japanese cards.
No resource exists that I am aware of that features the straightforward organization you want and you will always be working against Bulbapedia’s method of TCG organization.
if you’re looking for foil variants, you could search the pokemon’s name on yuyutei, and it should give you an option for mirror foil as well as the regular version if available
for example:

Thanks!
You mentioned collecting my artist which I like the layout of @yuka-morii ‹ PkmnCards
I just use Excel to keep track of things like variants, boring I know but effective.
I have an Excel file for Yuka Morii too! Would you like to compare them?
