Other employees in the process may have had many of them from various steps in the process that were then gathered by those in the know to cash in on.
I realize that it is completely unrealistic, but these are so out of my range that i really dont have any interest in them.

Ahh, I think Marco should give more information when making such claims. There’s just so much fog around these cards.
He’s always very cryptic, helps ramp up drama and attention to his posts. While there may be truth to his posts, he needs to divulge all the details in full right off the bat instead of partial details over time.

I see people speculate about akabane firing up the printers and making perfect trophies with his last few rolls of holo sheet, was curious where E4 would land on this topic in a poll.
I think it is a mix of akabane cashing out his closet as well, old certs getting cracked and resubbed, and new trophies hitting the market

Right, I think all of the above makes sense. The number of private collections in Japan is the most intriguing one for me!

In all seriousness I really doubt our good pal Akabane has some secret lair and is down there printing trophy cards. I think it’s more likely he has tons of extra copies that he was either given or “acquired” over there years and is selling them.

Instagram account claims akabane has a lot of the old 1st-3rd place trophy cards based on a post showing a few in the background. Thats about it as far as I know.

I mean if someone was stockpiling rare cards to offload at the right time (2020+ boom) then that is probably wiser than offloading extra Art Academy/Snap Cards early on. So it is plausible. Hopefully not recently printed.
For VERY IMPORTANT CONTEXT
This picture is from almost 15 years ago, and was taken at a Japanese tournament by collectors and players, not any Pokemon employees.
I would boost this post if possible because it seems many people think this is a RECENT picture when it is very old and not at all related to the situation with the criminal Akabane
As can be seen in the picture as well, there are many other types of cards in that binder, it is extremely unlikely that is a stack of trophies.
In an age of misinformation I think this was very well intentioned but very very misleading

To throw my opinion on it, it was pointed out to me if they were willing to print old back cards and throw them around willy-nilly I think we would have seen some more pika or Magikarp snaps by now, at least being offered at some ridiculous price
I think that posting unrelated photos is very bad for the situation because not only does it confuse and mislead but the actual criminal situation of Akabane is real, and diluting it with unrelated and embellished content hurts both the actual victims and the ability to prosecute correctly if it ever even manages to get anywhere

I have a extremely strong feeling the new cert old back trophies are all extra copies that were stolen from the Creatures Archive by Akabane and his team. They are slowly being graded and dripped out into the market in various auction houses in PSA and CGC!! Even the No Rarity Charizard freshly graded in PSA 10 currently on Goldin Premier Auction is extra copy that is coming from Akabane and his team. They are all stolen copies from Creatures Pokemon Company Archive by Akabane as he is trying to get revenge. I’m very surprised the Pokemon Company hasn’t done anything about it or that he hasn’t been caught and put in jail and fined heavily. He is total disgrace!!
