This was a pretty big week for me. I crossed off some bigger fish on my wants list.
As a side story: I was really starting to lose hope about ever getting this Togepi, Cleffa, and Igglybuff card. Over the last year and a half, between my husband and me, we tried 8 times to get this card and every time the card would get cancelled or the seller would go radio silent, or something. I watched this card go from a $35 card up to a $90 card and back down, and I was foiled every step of the way. I have personally never heard of something this crazy, and all my other card purchases have been like any normal transaction. Sure one might get cancelled or delayed every once in a while, but nothing to this degree. Anyways, I am happy to finally add this to the binder! I think it might be time for a collection update in the near future!

Congratulations on finally getting the card. It’s crazy how some seemingly easy cards have these backstories on how challenging they were to obtain. Thanks for sharing and looking forward to the collection update.

im planning on getting the japanese one with the gold medal and the silver one without the 2006 stamp. the rare one from 2005 is out of my reach for now unless there are other variations i dont know of. also ofc getting the medals from later years with the feraligtr typhlosion and so on

Very cool. As far as I know, there is only the gold and silver 2005 version, both without promo stamps, and indeed the 2006 silver, with and without the foil stamp. Also I am assuming that you only are hunting for graded copies yes?

I’m not really looking to get into the middleman game tbh and would prefer to not be responsible for other people’s things that need to travel internationally.
I’m pretty sure there’s a few people on here that would be able to source it for you and use services for that stuff already though. Might be worth starting a thread.
