I was the same, and it felt especially harder because I exclusively collect ungraded now for my pc binders and every Japanese promo are graded 10’s. Finally pulled the trigger when this came up for $850. Now if only I can be so lucky for my dream cards the Pikachu and Mew 20th anniversary 12 point play promos.

Honestly, I think getting your first quality binder is just as exciting as new cards! As you alluded to, you can have expectations but until you have it in hand it’s hard to fully appreciate it.

1999 Artbox regular sticker set 1-150 (there’s no normal Mew) and an old Toy Biz Mew ‘Collector Marble,’ an exclusive promo supposedly from Toys R Us. Mew is a solid color with black letters rather than a translucent color with white letters like the normal marbles.

The mew marble is on my list of eventual grabs and the artbox stickers are interesting to see with how many variants artbox did between special editions and lenticulars.
