While it didn’t last to long, the pre-release mood and consequent first purchase of the S8a-P product was a highlight to me.
First time in 14 years I’ve been truly excited about a new booster and the contents inside.

Now that I’m on the app, I’ll attach some of my favorite collection additions this year.
The Guzma was the first “big” raw card I purchased and my first card I graded myself directly. A bit of a disaster story with it too! Long story short, PSA ended up sending it to the wrong address TWICE before it got back to me. Regardless, it was one of my favorite cards and has a funny story attached to it now too.
The Mew was actually a gift from a friend, @nish, who passed it on to me. To both of our surprise, it graded a 10 when I sent it into PSA to encapsulate it and will forever be one of the cards with the most sentimental value I own.
The Fan Club Eevee was my last purchase for the year. A little sunfaded, but so am I. I started collecting again to be an Eevee species collector and since the beginning this card was one thing that I always wanted to own but always thought was such a far off goal. It meant a lot to me to add it to my collection this year.

2021 has been huge. I started and completed my 100% English and Japanese Krabby set, and started and got most of the way through my psa 10 Buzzwole master set, I think those are the two biggest things

Congrats on the Eevee fan club card! If its the same one that just ended on PWCC, I was tempted to bid on that one. Do you collect Japanese Eevee and Eeveelutions cards?

It is! I am very happy to own it overall.
I have an English master set of Eevees minus the e-reader variations, but I couldn’t bring myself to start Japanese knowing how intense that goal would be considering the prototypes and Scramble. I try to only buy the Japanese Eevees I really like
I “finished” my vintage flip coin collection, with the exception of a couple I would like to replace in stronger condition. I’ve posted about it before but I found a gold colored Chansey coin (distinct from the regular “gold” Chansey coin from the 1997 tournament) that seems undocumented. I can’t find any indication of where it’s from. It’s very exciting to have something so unknown that fits so nicely in a little passion project of mine. Definitely my favorite pickup of the year.
