So a few months ago I came into a pile of about 220 Base expedition (aquapolis cards) holos 1st ed that cost me $20-30. These are geeeeemmmm mint. Nothing wrong with them. They’re beautiful. It came with 10 charizards and I graded them all and they each got a 10. Easy contenders for gold label if someone wanted to do that .
Now obviously there’s a lot of doubles in here.
What would you do, sell them all as is, or grade them all first (looking at around $2000) then sell off slowly? Advice welcome!
Sell them as singles, dropping that much on grading fees is really bad choice considering the fact graded japanese versions haven’t fetched too great sales prices so far.
They don’t fetch as much as EN in this set, but I was still assuming around £20-25 per PSA 10. My grading fees are around £6.50 per card at the moment, so would work out at a total £3000 ish after fees and postage deducted. Only thing is, it would take me a while to sell probably!
Send the best 1-2 sets to BGS then for a pristine set and send the next 2-3 best sets to PSA enough to get a couple sets and sell mismatched as singles. Prepare to wait but sounds like you will make money after a while.
