No crazy finds like everyone else her but my best would be a lot of cards for 50 including all in nm a lvl x charizard and it’s promo version, prime Espeon Umbreon and scizor, ex latios and promo groudon and several other lvl x cards. Got that last year.

Another one of my best finds was a local meetup about 2 months ago, bought a binder with aquapolis muk LP, expedition Gengar NM, HP aquapolis zapdos, HP fossil dragonite, and a NM non holo expedition mewtwo. It was $40

I semi-recently helped my dad get into contact with a local guy selling some sports cards on Ebay, and so my dad went to meet up with him in person to buy a bunch of sports memorabilia (he does sports, I do Pokemon/MTG/Yugioh). When my dad was about to leave, he asks the seller “Do you have any Pokemon or Magic cards?” to which the guy excitedly replies “No one’s ever done Pokemon like me!” and hauls out a big briefcase full of cards. My dad looked through the cards briefly and asked the guy how much he wanted, to which the seller replies “$4000”. My dad then calls me and reports that he gambled $4000 on a collection of Pokemon cards, and that I could buy into half of the collection if I wanted to. I figured that my dad, not knowing Pokemon all that well, was about to take a trip to hose-town. He brings in the briefcase, and it is the most outrageous collection of cards that I’ve ever seen, let me just list a few of the highlights;

lol after getting my friends into it this january we stumbled upon an auction of a complete 1st ed base. Mind you this is 2020 and all the holos got psa 7 think it ended under 1500

Heavy base unlimited pack for $200 at my local game shop a couple months ago.
Mint copy of a first edition red cheeks Pikachu I sniped for $100 that graded a bgs 9. This was a few months ago too.
Last year, I sniped a first edition Charizard for $500.

Wow you lgs sounds like what mine used to be. 6-7 months ago I found a 25 cent 1st edition shadowless bulbasaur. Nowadays they have LP-MP unlimited charizards for $1000

My Best finds are people… I have a lot of exceptional deals that came about simply shooting a message and asking a question. The biggest one I can name was a gentleman that I messaged for a near complete 1st ed base set collection last January. PSA 7 zard, PSA 8 Blastoise, PSA 8 Venusaur and PSA 9 Chansey just to name a few cards included. The cards missing were just a few holos, but the big 3 were all there. Thanks to positive communication, we realized that we were only 30 minutes apart and he closed the auction to sell to me in person. I bought all the cards for 5300 bucks. That was an incredible deal then and it’s unbelievable now. Went back and spent an extra 450 on a 1st ed psa 9 mewtwo a month later.
You can get lucky with a bid or snipe, but good communication leads to the great megadeals people dream of.

I was at a rummage sale and an empty-nester woman was selling her son’s old collection for $20. I felt bad for the guy but didn’t hesitate to buy it! about $400 worth of WOTC holos.
